Buildings by water.

The only area where buildings don't spawn at all so far is by the water. It would be neat if they made some new structures, which could be as simple as: a boat ramp, a small jetty, or a little fishing hut. To the much larger structures: a dam, a dock, a marina, or even a watermill. I know these types of structures would much more difficult to implement due to having to keep the spawn rate exceptionally low, and also being attached to some biomes, or water types would look out of place. But it would still be a neat addition.
