Hosting a dedicated server

A friend managed to get his hands on an old power edge server, it's running windows server 2008 r2 activated. We've gotten games like Conan Exiles to run on it without issues but we can't get 7d2d to run. it'll load to the unity pop up box and bring up a cmd prompt that says file not found then does the usual spiel about running in background. It'll pop up in the task manager for 2 seconds then disapear.

 

1. reinstalling the game on both steam\tools and steamcmd
   
2. triple checked the config files
   
3. googled for hours
   
4. verified files on steam
   
5. copied the entire directory from my computer where it works
   
6. installing from 7d2d rat
   

 

I would post the log files but it doesn't even make any, it just stops when the unity box disappears.
