Forever connecting to any community server

Thanks for the response, my friend ended up finding the solution. It turned out to be his steam name was causing the problem. -
A friend is having trouble loading into any community server as it stays on the connecting page forever. My friend has tried to reinstall the game. verify the game through steam, reinstall the EAC and disabling the firewall and none of those seem to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
