    That’s who I’m talking about too. 😀

i realized XD and i also realized my mistake in emphisizing the word more  in my first post as .. in reality, its not gonna be any more annoying then it already is. tedius? possibly. The only annoying part will be when  people forget to stock up before leaving base

    Possibly...

I think whenever a game chooses a design that makes a survival element more involved the people who are really into survival love it and the people who just want their toon hydrated so they can go do "the fun stuff" will feel annoyed.

Keeping yourself hydrated in the early game is definitely more involved in A21. You have to measure your hydration against your health and the risk of dysentery if you drink straight from water sources. You have to gather quite a bit of materials one of which is rare in order to craft a dew collector which doesn't really solve the hydration problem until you have a few of them going. You can't boil murky water until you find or craft a pot and now the only liquid you can commonly find is murky water so no more inventory full of good water, teas, and smoothies just from looting around. You can't take empty bottles to fill them up and build up an easy storage of excess water.

Hydration still eventually becomes solved in A21. You will get to the point of having a crate full of stacks of drinks but it comes much later than in A20 and the journey to get there involves a lot more tasks that of course compete with all the other tasks you want/need to do and there are more times when you find yourself forced to drink bad water and possibly end up with dysentery.

Now, if you enjoy survival mechanics all of that probably has you feeling very excited and you can't wait for the gameplay of getting a dew collector farm set up and having to deal with the consequences of being forced to drink murky water occasionally probably has you thinking, "Finally! Dysentery will actually show up in a playthrough!!".

But if you find that you just tolerate survival mechanics and are happiest once food and water concerns are solved and you don't have to deal with that part of the game then, yes,......its gonna be annoying.

i mean for people who played before the change, its gonna be .. for me I'm looking forward to making my  first alpha 21 house look like something out of homesteaders or Alaskan bush people with those dew collectors

No to mention that even outside of the public testing, there is a full team of internal QA people and a group of volunteers that test the changes before they are released to the public.

I find most people that argue it should be released just have no clue of what EA actually is, and should fully opt out of purchasing anything before it's been out for at least a couple of years.

I gotta agree on that last part, i wanted to game development when I was a kid but realized the amount of work and skill needed to do so. skills i sadly lack. But  what i did get into instilled me with a respect for the amount of crap devs go through just to get a game going and the hell that is keeping it working as intended. and alot of people dont exactly understand that side of things. And TFP could be FAR worse.. to anyone  that has played  a game called Firefall.. you know of whom i speak and his drunken updates to the game

  4. First and foremost. I love this game, in fact, I love most survival games that I put effort and time into. minecraft, terarria, starbound, ARK, Conan exiles... but 7 days 2 die is one of only 2 zombie survival games I have ever played and enjoyed. the other being dead island. Every alpha brings things I love. and while yes there are some things that irk me... it doesn't exactly ruin my enjoyment of this gamer, But with that said... Alpha 21.

Alpha 21  looks to be .. interesting.  New things to look at, new toys to play with. so on and so forth. but the water and crafting changes are .. strange?  strange to understand for me that is. But when I think about the water change.. I have to agree with TFP that getting water is WAY too easy... I'm only on day 3 and I've got 7 boiled water, 2 pure water, 3 coffee, 2 goldenrod tea, 1 beer, and the red tea whose name I can't remember off the top of my head.  That's on top of the 15 murky water I have waiting to boil. I've had games where I had an entire crate filled with drinks because I kept finding them all over. I like the idea of the dew collector. it fits Much more into the vibe of the game, And the loss of glass jars is …, I mean you use them for the Yucca drinks, and Molotov's so that will be mildly irritating but I'm sure they will make it so you can still craft those. And being forced to drink from water sources is, Again, thematic for the setting of the game. It will make it riskier to waste water, riskier to waste certain medical resources...it had more risk to the game. On the flip side of this. It's also gonna be ALOT more annoying.

All in all, I can't cast a full judgment until I learn more. But there is one thing I would like to make a comment on that has irritated me. People saying 7d2d needs test servers or environments Alpha IS that. we are playing the test environment. And I think people keep forgetting that fact, and I can't blame them at times since 7d2d does feel like a full game now at times. But are still only at the mid-game of development if I'm right on that... We haven't even gotten to their * End game* content that they wanna release ... and that excites me. much will change between now and then. and I plan to be there for all of it as this is a game I have come to have a strong soft spot for. Love my opinion or hate it. this is all only my opinion and I don't expect people to agree with me on that
