I started life as an electronics/radio technician and worked on computers as a hobby. Now I work in the industrial automation field, doing system admin stuff on large scale machines for more years then I care to admit. I have and still do work on everything from 486s and up. I also have a fair bit of knowledge in hydraulics, power generation, industrial controls, data collection and measuring systems, and everything in between. I personally gave up on Microsoft about 15 years ago, and haven’t looked back since.

I also have a central server for network storage, containers, and VMs. A pfsense box for a firewall and countless other random computers and PIs. I have a problem I know, but at least my IT friends have someone they can go to for help.
