The game has not crashed, it's a new world with the current release, and I haven't closed it with alt-F4. chunkreset did not change anything, and yeah, this is right next to my base, so I guess I'll just live with it.

Alpha 20.1 Single player, no server, no mods. I removed 2 layers of the surface soil with my shovel, which left surface blocks floating in mid-air and opened a portal to the void: I fell into the void, was temporarily stuck, but was able to jump out of it. Log file: https://pastebin.com/LtCkgg12
