While Brass isn't difficult to come by in-game considering you can melt down radiators, and it's not an uncommon drop while looting buildings, having a brass catcher mod that installs onto the side of the gun would make a lot of sense in a survival scenario. Collecting spent brass is something I already do in real life, it can be reused several times when making your own reloads. Functionally the ammo is almost indentical to factory new ammo IRL, and some companies even specialize in selling reloaded ammo.
