    CPU Model: Intel i7 8086k

    System Memory: 32

GPU Model and VRAM: nVidia GTX 1080 11 GB

    Screen Resolution: 5120x2160

    Game mode: MP host

Did you wipe old saves? Yes

Did you start a new game? Yes

Did you validate your files? Yes

Are you using any mods? No

    EAC on or off? Off

    Status: NEW

Bug Description: When hosting a MP game (open or friends only) the host (Player A) client crashes when another player (Player B) joins. Player A can join a game hosted by player  B with no issues. Had no issues the day prior.  As far as I can tell the only difference is a few updated aptitude packages (openssh-client, ubuntu-advantage-tools, and chrome). Tried multiple version of Proton (5.4 and 8.0) with the same behavior observed. Player B is using Windows - unknown if system changes occured.

Detailed steps to reproduce the bug:

    1) Host MP game (tried multiple maps + random gen)

    2) Have player join game (via steam or game finder)

    3) Host client crashes

    Actual result: Host client crashes

Expected result: Player successfully joins game. Zombies slain.

Expiriencing nearly the same issue. Only difference is, that Player B is not able to connect, while Player a (Host) can play.

The Profile-Data of Player B are corrupted on the local files of Player A/Host.

    Managed to find a workaround...
If i start a server using  `startserver.sh`  we both are able to connect.

    Steps would be as following:

    1. cd into  `7 Days To Die` folder.
    2. run `./startserver.sh -configfile=serverconfig.xml` (you can edit serverconfig.xml to change configurations for your new gameworld)
    3. wait for server to boot up, you  can check if it's ready using `telnet localhost 26900` (it takes some time for the first time since it's generating a new world, logs are in `7DaysToDie_Data` folder you can tail -f on it)
    4. once server is ready you can launch the game and join your server using `JOIN A GAME` option and selecting `CONNECT TO IP...` (127.0.0.1 26900) your friend should be able to join your server using your ip address.

    Hope that helps.

    Have fun.

    Status: NEW

Bug Description: When I try to connect to our multiplayer game (standard steam game, not dedicated server) via my windows laptop, the linux desktop that started the game disconnects.

Detailed steps to reproduce the bug:

    1) Start a multiplayer game on my Linux Mint desktop with one steam account

    2) Attempt to connect to the same multiplayer game with my Window 10 laptop with a 2nd steam account

    3) Within moments of the Windows laptop trying to connect, the game shuts down on the Linux desktop

3A) Even weirder, if the Windows machine is the host of the game, it works when the Linux machine connects.

Actual result: The linux game session shuts down completely.

Expected result: For months, I've been able to enjoy cross-platform multiplayer between Linux and Windows

Lots of changes have happened recently; currently, I don't have any issues with Ubuntu or the Steam Deck, but I'll go over some Linux stuff using Mint/others mentioned here, if they're distros that are known to be stable with gaming.
