When will that be? In the meantime we bought a game that won't even launch...

Any update here? Game is still unplayable.

Know a few people on the cx side at Steam and Valve; sending a request that they remove the "playable on Mac" and mac specs from the store so other people aren't duped into purchasing a game that isn't playable on their system (illegal in my country).

You can create a free account on hireez, seamless.ai, and signalhire to track down the emails of Gabe Newell, Scott Lynch, and other executives of Valve (I found them on seamless.ai).

 

At this point we need to email them, as Valve is continuing to advertise that 7 Days is playable on Mac, but that's no longer the case. A complaint regarding this has been filed with the US FTC.

 

Maybe that will be enough for 7 Days and EAC to create a fix or at least be more transparent with comms around the issue. At the least, other people won't be parted with their money for a game that they can't play.

@systemoverload crickets. It's a shame, it sounds like Gabe Newell doesn't care about its company keeping its word (game still marketed as playable on Mac).

 

@chikorina what's the update here? A complaint has already been filed with the US FTC against Valve for deceptive marketing, as the game is still listed as playable on Mac.

There is already an internal ticket written by a QA for this issue, and it's set as high priority.  This is an issue with EAC.  EAC has already been notified of this issue,  and they are working on a solution.  There is nothing that TFP can do to speed things up,  sorry.

@chikorina ok, who is the point of contact at EAC, and what is the timeline for resolving it?

In the meantime, Valve continuing to market the game as playable on Mac is deceptive. Sending a follow up note to their team see what it's going to take to get the Mac system requirements and compatibility removed from the Steam store.

@chikorina and @systemoverload, I just spoke with Richard Huenink from TFP.

 

TFP has no idea when this will be fixed, said the ball is completely in Epic's court.

 

I've sent a follow up note to the team at Valve about removing the content about Mac playability from the store.

The joke would be funny if it hadn't actually cost us money
