  • Drinking water does not make you temporarily immune to new environmental fire hazard

    Summary: Journal entry for "On Fire" states that drinking water makes you immune to being set on fire for 10 seconds, however that behavior does not work with the new environmental fire hazard. Not sure if the new fire hazard is just a special exception to prevent users from cheesing it?

    Bug Description:


    Detailed steps to reproduce the bug:

    Before jumping into the details, here is the journal entry I am referencing:

    Scenario 1: Punching the pipe
    1) Find a POI with fire hazard (I used the one in the roof of the tri-med building)
    2) Have some bottled water ready
    3) Punch the broken pipe

    4) Character is set on fire

    5) Drink water to douse yourself

    6) Quickly punch the pipe again


    Actual result: Your character will briefly catch on fire again, and then immediately get doused before the 4s timer ends. If you punch again the same behavior is observed

    Expected result: Player should be immune to catching on fire for 10 seconds, or journal entry needs to be updated for exceptions

     

    Scenario 2: Walking into the fire
    1) Find a POI with fire hazard
    2) Have some bottled water ready
    3) Walk into the fire

    4) Character is set on fire

    5) Drink water to douse yourself

    6) Walk into fire again


    Actual result: Character is immediately set on fire again
