  • Game crashes randomly

    Summary: 

    When i open the game it sometimes closes itself. This can happen at any point in time after it started loading the main menu.

     

    Sometimes it starts and allows me to host a game, for this session i can play normally.

    When the game closed itself once it will consistently close itself before reaching the main menu, until i reboot the pc.

     

    I already looked into the log files, but there where no indications for a crash.

     

    My graphics cards drivers are up to date.
     

    Game Version: A21.1 b15

    OS/Version: Windows

    CPU Model: Intel i9-12900K

    System Memory: 128 GB

    GPU Model and VRAM: nVidia RTX 4090

    Screen Resolution: 1920x1080

    Video Settings: Ultra

    Game mode: MP host

     

    Did you wipe old saves? (Yes/No)

     

    Did you start a new game? Yes

     

    Did you validate your files? Yes, multiple times

     

    Are you using any mods? no

     

    EAC on

     

    Status: NEW

    1) Start Game

    Game closes

    I tried to replicate it today, but it doesn't close itself anymore.

    But i can keep the windows event viewer in mind if it happens again.

     

    I think the problem might have been avast anti virus.

    That makes sense, thanks for letting us know. If you do have crashes do report back though. This game does a ton of memory/storage calls, so an intrusive anti virus like avast can definitely cause it - make sure exceptions are set.
