    Summary: 7dtd fails to launch after upgrade to latest MacOS

     

    Note: I uninstalled and reinstalled with the same result -- no zombie-stomping joy
     
    Game Version: A21 b3-16
    OS/Version: MacOS Ventura 13.5.1
    CPU Model: Apple M2 Pro
    System Memory: 16 GB
    GPU Model and VRAM: Apple M2 Pro built-in GPU with 19 cores and Metal 3 support
    Screen Resolution: 3840 x 2160
    Video Settings:
    Game mode: SP
     
    Did you wipe old saves? (No)
     
    Did you start a new game? (No)
     
    Did you validate your files? (Yes)
     
    Are you using any mods? (No)
     
    EAC on or off? Off
     
    Status: NEW
     
    Bug Description: Game fails to launch after upgrading to latest MacOS version
     
    Actual result: Clicked Play. After some time -- displaying game pointer or spinning candy -- game exits.
     
    Expected result: Game should display initial dialog box.

    Only that, as I reported above, I was finally able to get 7dtd to launch after several rounds of cleaning everything out, reinstalling, and trying to launch. My current problem -- not specific to 7dtd -- is that Steam itself fail to cleanly shut down.

    I uninstalled that version of the software, then manually deleted any remaining generated maps and games. Several times. I have no idea why it took several tries to get it to work again.

    And you're able to run the game with EAC enabled?
