STEP 1. CHECK THE KNOWN ISSUES LIST
Read through the Known Issues List to see if it was already reported.
Use CTRL+F to search for various terms related to your bug.
STEP 2. GATHER INFORMATION
OUTPUT LOGS
The MOST important thing needed with ALL bug reports is the output log.
Your report will be REMOVED if there is no link to a Pastebin output log.
By default, output log files are in:
Windows - %AppData%\7DaysToDie\logs
Linux - <game folder>/7DaysToDie_Data/
Mac - Next to the game's .app file

SCREENSHOTS and .CSV File
Please use the following for all screenshots:
Press F11 or use the dbs command to open the screenshot panel
This will open a panel in-game where you can type a description of the bug.
Once done, click OK.
There will then be a SCREENSHOTS folder in the same location as the logs above as well as a copy of the screenshot on the clipboard.
NOTE: The best way to submit a screenshot is to upload it to an image site that allows links such as https://imgur.com/upload then provide the LINK in your report.
DO NOT paste pictures directly into the report. They will not show up properly.
If your bug is related to perks, books, schematics, please check the SAVE PERKS box in the screenshot panel. This will create a .CSV file in the screenshots folder that has all of your perks, books, and schematics listed.

WHICH POI AM I LOOKING AT?
POI’s
While inside the POI bounds, press F11.
The screenshot panel will show the POI’s file name and localized name.

RWG Tiles
Activate dm in console (admin on server or host in SP/P2P game)
While NOT inside a POI bounds (out in the street), press F3
The “Player” panel will show the tile name on the 4th line (can ignore .xyz after name)
HOW DO I FIND A POI IN MY GAME?
Activate dm in console (admin on server or host in SP/P2P game)
Press ESC and click on the Open POI Teleporter button
Search for POI name in the searchfield
Click on the POI name to teleport to it
WHO/WHAT/WHEN/WHERE/WHY ZOMBIE?
Activate dm in console (admin on server or host in SP/P2P game)
Hit NUMPAD 0 (heavy FPS impact, if many zombies on screen)
You will now see the zombie’s AI tasks and health
DO BUFFS/DEBUFFS WORK?
Activate dm in console (admin on server or host in SP/P2P game)
Hit F3
Open inventory
Toggle 2 row 5 option on the left side (Ply)
This will open a window on the right
If you cannot move, the search field is active, backspace everything in the search field and hit LMB
Now you can see active buffs/debuffs and cvars on yourself
Hold shift to view stats of your current target
Freeze AI
With dm enabled as host hit NUMPAD *
This allows for easier buff or damage tests
STEP 3: REPORT THE BUG
Copy the form below to report bugs to the Bug Pool, not in the General Support forum.
Use the Add New Report button, add a title, paste the form into the content section, and then fill it out.
