Ever since the Alpha 20.2 update there are visual bugs in my single player world that also cause issues with gameplay mechanics.

To discribe one of the visual problems, it seems that the game is generating a second only visual world over the existing one, the "real" world is visualy only seen in a sqare around me. It moves with me so i can see the "real" world close to me, but in the distance there are montains or rivers or whatever else, what isnt rly there.

Here is a screenshot of this bug:

I guess because of this "second" world generating over the existing one, there is also a bug with my traders now, where i can only choose buried supplies quests

Here´s the screenshot of this bug:

As a third bug, besides this fake mountains and what ever else is generated there are floating things like cacti and trees, they are "real" so i can bump into them with my gyro.

Another screenshot to show you what i am talking about:

To come to an end theres this last bug that causes existing traders or other buildings that show in the distance to "despawn" because of a changing worldgeneration

I hope theres any chance to get my save fixed.

If you need any more informations just let me know.

    Thx for ur help

This can indeed happen with old saves, but usually with big alpha changes. What likely happened was a different version of the same seed was generated, which will cause this since the game uses the same seed no matter if it changed or not (a world is not in the game save folder, but it pulls it from the Generated Worlds folder).

Generate a 6144 map using seedname Hi; make a new game on this name

Generate an advanced generation map using size 6144 and seedname Hi

Going back to the saved game the world will be overwritten with changes, causing the issue.

As far as a fix, maybe deleting the world and then generating the exact seed/size and whatnot that you did to make it originally? May also need to delete the .rg files in the save as well.

    Hey there,

thx for explanation, even so i still dont get how this could have happend to my world, because non of the steps you explained were done by me.

The fix will delete every progress i made in the world so far right? So i cant "save" the regions i built in.

Its simply just the same world from the beginning?

Tbh i was looking for a fix that wont delete everything.

Well, the generated world and save for a world are two separate things. Whatever you changed or done in the world are in the save folder.

It may or may not help but save everything and move it to another folder somewhere like the desktop, then generate a new world with the same seed and everything then use a copy of the save and load it. Not sure if it will help or not but an idea.

You can also just transfer your player data to a new world as well.
