Summary
I want to report a situation where wandering hordes appear almost endlessly. More and more zombie groups appear over time up to multiple dozens being around at once.
First it happened on the 13th day early afternoon in-game and now again on the 18th day in the morning.
The first "event" transitioned into the horde night. After that I killed the last zombies. No new ones spawned. I leveled up at least 5 times this way and killed ca 300 zombies.
Now that it happens the second time I stopped playing this run.

Game Mode:
single player with permadeath and all other settings on default.

Did you wipe old saves?
Didn't wipe anything.. knowingly.
Did you start a new game?
Hm. What's the alternative? I started my second game, yes a new one. That was some days ago and I continued it every day a bit.

Nope.
Are you using any mods?
No mods.
Did you try to reproduce without mods?
It happened twice so far without any mods ever been used.
