Steel Overmetal Posted April 30, 2022 Share Posted April 30, 2022 Description of bug: Your distant terrain ( You can think of Distant terrain as the games way of reducing the overall load via the mirage of terrain in the distance from a height and world map, confusing i know but bare with me.) appears to change from your old seed to a new one due to an unknown reason, causing a game breaking visual bug if left unchecked. I sadly did not take screen shots of the bug but I have found screenshots of other people encountering the same glitch which will be listed below. The file in question that is ultimately causing this graphical and game breaking issue is the appropriate generated worlds folder located at ( %appdata% -> Roaming -> 7DaysToDie -> GeneratedWorlds -> (The World that you are having the glitch appear in, in my case it was West Xuyofu Territory)) Screenshots: https://imgur.com/vIoq3u0 https://imgur.com/vHxLZby Warning: Make backups of the entire 7DaysToDie Folder Located in ( %appdata% -> Roaming -> 7DaysToDie ). Description of Fix: Delete the folder of the generated world ( NOT THE SAVE OF THE WORLD) that you are having Distant Terrain glitch appear on, my example is the folder labeled ( West Xuyofu Territory ) you can do this with any world but you need to remember the exact seed of the map to continue with the fix. After deleting the required folder you are to make a new world with the same Seed and Map size which will force the game to make a new Folder without the corrupted information, once the new folder is downloaded it should look something like this ( https://imgur.com/a/cb5irYt ), Now that is done you can reopen your world without the distance terrain issue reappearing.
