Malystrox
I'm not really sure how to explain this so this message may seem to ramble or jump about as I write...so here goes. Ever since Alpha 19, locating zombies by sound is almost impossible. As I'm looting a POI, for example, it'll almost sound like a zombie is right on top of me only to find out that the sound is coming from another location entirely (like another house for instance). At times, it will seem like the sound is right in front of me only to have the zombie come from a totally different direction. It's almost impossible to tell now if the sound is coming from above or below me as well. If I'm outside and hearing footsteps that seem right on top of me, there will literally be nothing around me within view for quite a distance (I've even tracked down a zombie in this situation only to find it walking continuously into a wall at a house that's quite a ways from where I initially heard the footsteps. It's really quite frustrating and I have no idea what to do to try and fix this problem. I'm using a pair of skullcandy headphones wired directly into the headset port of my computer. I've checked a majority of my headphone settings and they all seem to be set accordingly. I'm having no problems whatsoever with sound location in any other game I'm playing or have played (Call of Duty, WoW, PoE, etc....). If anybody has any suggestions of what I should try next, I happily welcome your input.
