Item Degradation

With the current way the level system works, you have to level up multiple skills just to craft certain items, as well as to make a workbench. With even more patches more items are being moved to schematic unlock only, which I think is fine aside from one fact. Crafted items can only be crafted to level 5 even at max level. Where you can find level 6 items. I get the point is to have players focus on looting for the best loot, but it feel like leveling up various skills for crafting isn't worth over looting. However, if items had a chance to degrade based upon item quality and appropriate crafting level, it would give an incentive to level up crafting so you won't only rely on looting since there would be a chance for the item to be degraded to a lower quality.

Here are two examples of chances of items degrading:

The first table is an example where all the levels would have a chance to degrade at every level aside from 5. The second table is an example where each level prevents the next quality up from degrading. The chances could also be influenced by current durability. I.E. 0/100 durability would be the full percentage where 50/100 would be half the chance. This way you can use more resources to keep a tools durability up with less risk of it degrading. I think this would provide a better incentive to level up crafting alongside looting, and give it more meaning to level up. Just my two cents as I don't care to much for having to only loot for the highest level stuff, giving less incentive to go a crafting route.
