I kind of like zombie respawn, as if zombies are moving about and keep infiltrating the area, though I'm not sure what frequency would give the desired feeling. Of course there are always random spawns and wandering hordes, so maybe that does make sense.

Maybe no loot respawn makes sense. I'd not really thought about it, but with no defending zombies I guess that makes sense too. I suppose that means the feature to respawn chunks (or whatever they're called) should be off too.

No so sure what chunks do or dont.  If it means you are getting something that you got before then I would turn it off too, but havent delved into that.

It really forces you to relocate after you clear a town.... and why I dont like current water implementation, so enter "bucket mod" as well :).

To be honest - if 7dtd owners will get free keys for it it would be fair and i would stop complaining

Why? because it would be like like RE3 + RE RESISTANCE situation. So then - resuse so many assets etc. will be accetable

It must have skeltons since you have risen :).

No need for it, I love the fact that it's pitch darkness because torches and light sources become an actual important piece of gear and base setup.

I mean, I was being a general purpose smartderrier, but I thought that was your need for ray tracing ???  Guess I misunderstood.

Zombies in POI's being all triggered spawns was/is a solution to resource problems, but also the Devs didn't like that people would walk down a street making noise to lure all the zombies out. We'd just pick a street and make a bunch of racket. This would aggro all the zombies who would then bash their way out of the POI's and line up in the street to have their heads bashed in. Then we could proceed to loot all the POI's on the street and only keep an ear out for dog hordes. So now the zombies aren't spawned in at all until the player enters the spawn volume in which they belong.

Most unfortunate, as what you describe is very Zombie like behaviour.

However, I do understand the resource issues, as one who plays on a borderline processor.

  5. Bienvenido!

With regards to item one, the reasoning given is system load for current mechanics.  There is MOD working on different  load parameters, but I havent tried it.

With regards to item 2, it is called "nerd polling", for reaching content, etc.  For reference , you dont have to nerd pole, you can just start stacking ladders.  Nerd polling saves you a few milliseconds.

2 blocks of wood for protection will work for a couple of days.

From a personal point of view, I subscribe to the "original" Zombie genre.  Now, while the resident evil franchise is pretty cool and has some entertaining movies, the current state of 7D2D Zs are good enough for me, I even remove puking cops via MOD.

Some Zombies do "climb" :), from a certain point of view, beware of spider Z and dogs...and snakes /yikes.

If you want a longer spring, spawn in, try to reach all four corners of the map, and then get back to the starting point -- kind of like if somebody inserted you via helicopter, you're scouting, and then need to get back the LZ for a pickup. Give yourself BDUs and maybe a gun with a couple of clips of ammo, maybe some rations.

Ooh, I like that a LOT!

    Thanks.

    Haha!

In addition to my MP game I am now also playing a solo no-trader game. Odd things tend to be a problem with this play style. In this game it was mechanical parts. I raided three different Pass-N-Gas pois and still didn't have enough to make a workbench. Then a wrench dropped in a zombie loot bag. Now I'm cruisin! 🙂

Yes, you are far more susceptible to the will of RnGeezus <insert angelic tones of heavenly bliss here>!

I'll be flying my gyro out of the death zone, homeward bound, when I get clipped by the air drop plane and go down in flames.

     No! No!

You bailed out right before the flames.  However you only had 2 water bottles in your belt, and now have lost all the supplies you had...in the smoldering flames of you choppah.  But you got far enough that you are in new unknown area.

    No Duke, just survive!

    :).
