    well, I've got Anna's first quest now but it's nearly 4km away so that will be a while before I do it. 

     



    As for the small lab.....Giant @%$#ING SPIDERS????  WTF???  I closed the door when I went into the lab because I know that hordes of zombies always arrive while you're in there....but GIANT @%$#ING SPIDERS?????  The legs were like 8 feet long.  I couldn't even see them other than the legs clipping through the wall.image.thumb.jpeg.306c844b7cf1252f2d0ab211c4b2159c.jpeg

    well, I just tried that.  Completed the quest and it had NO return point.  Went to Eve and she accepted the quest as complete....but then no quest 3.  Am I going to have to force every quest going forward??

So, I'm playing a solo game and did the scout missions until they sent me to Razor, did his missions and he sent me to eve.  I then did eve's first mission but it got returned to Razor instead of Eve and now Eve won't give me any more quest and Razor just keeps giving me the "go to Eve" quest over and over (done it 3 times now, thanks for all the extra reward ammo).  So I went back to the scout and did more missions for her to get my Faction up to 15 hoping that would solve it but Eve still won't give me a second quest.

  4. I need some help with a bug.  In my solo game I got to Razor and did his quests (3 that I remember - dig up supplies, kill zombies, clear an area) and each time the quest was returned to him.  Once those were done he sent me to the next location (haven't gone there yet so I don't know who it is).  In my game with my wife on the same map, same spawn location, we did the quests to get to Razor but my wife got a quest to go to someone else instead.  We then picked up the "dig supplies" quests. Me from my guy, her from hers, and shared them with each other.  Once we completed them, hers has NO return location, and mine is 3km away inside the radiation zone and underground.  Is there any way to fix this??  Will dropping the quests and doing them again fix it or is our game totally screwed now??

    Then the descriptions of the perk levels are wrong. Lvl2 says "harvest one more", so i expect to receive 2 instead of 1. Lvl3 says "another one more" so i'd expect to harvest 3 instead of 1.

    But from what you say it is supposed to give me 2 instead of 1 at lvl5 first?

    The larger increase from living off the land only applies to things the player has planted.  At max level LOTL you will get 1 extra from "wild" plants.  I think this is a vanilla thing but it's been so long since I played vanilla I'm not 100% sure.

Okay, I made 2 laser pistols at level 71 and combined them in laser workbench and they combined into one level 78 laser pistol.  Tried to do the same with 2 level 71 laser rifles and I get an error saying the laser bench can not combine past 80.  How do I get a laser rifle above level 71?

     

     

  7. Okay, I've applied the missing titanium patch for DF 3.1 but I'm still not finding titanium anywhere.  What is the specific line of code that should exist and I'll check to make sure it's right.

     

    Edit:  okay, finally found some.  Most of the time the boulder on top is saying stuff other than Titanium.  :(  Came home with 20 000 and used it all in one day.

     

  8. Hey, is the titanium patch for 3.1 still available?  I'm waiting for A19.3 stable to come out before I update my game and DF, so I'm still running 3.1 DF and the link you posted weeks ago for the block patch no longer works.

    2. There might be a bug with blood drawing kits. I tried one, and got the orange skull debuff, The tried it again and got the red cardiac arrest. I stayed alive with medkits until the cardiac arrest wore off, but following every next 10-15 min of playing time, i got the cardiac arrest again. ANd it kept doing this for 4-5 times... even after reviveing, after i tried letting myself die 2-3 times. 

    And then suddenly the "bug" didnt reappear.

    1 - destroy the body bags

    2 - a debuff was added to blood draw kits so no more spamming them.  I don't have that version of DF so I don't know anymore than that.

    Will killall affect the guards or trader?  And since it's horde night I guess I'll just have to keep doing it until spawns stop.  Then I just spawn in each mob until I find the glitched one?

    Ok, so a hole just filled with water from a bucket works also?

    I read that the rain catcher can overflow and that can destroy your plants. To avoid it, place it 2 blocks deep.

    So if i'm probably going to use farm plots, i guess leaving out one farm plot every 8 blocks and just fill that hole with water is still easier?

     

    Ah, ok. I also tested hitting them, because i knew from other mods that "pickup with e" doesn't repsect the LOTL-perk.

    But i'm not sure anymore, if i just tested with a tool/club or with bare hands.

    from what I understand the plants WILL consume water so if it's just a hole filled with water you'll have to keep refilling it.  Don't know how often. 

    The rain catcher constantly generates a block of water above it, that's why you dig a hole 2 squares deep to put it in so it doesn't overflow. 

    Also, just to be on the safe side I place them every 6 blocks.  I'd rather have too much coverage than have crops not grow.

    You need water within 4 blocks. The rain catcher is just easier.

    You don't need fertalizer. Yes it works with farm plots.

    Make sure you PUNCH plants. It doesn't apply if picking up with E or using a tool.

    1) Depends what you mean. Hordes can. Normal zombies cant.

    2) Auto.

    Thanks.  I was wondering why the blood moon hordes were spawning INSIDE my base.  I haven't found a good build yet for fighting DF zombies so I just stand out in the field and murder them with high velocity lead.  It was quite upsetting to then see zombies smashing OUT of my base.

     

    I also have issues with the blood moon horde AI.  Don't know if it's lag due to too many zombies or what, but they always seem to run to where I WAS, not where I am.  I can use this to my advantage and just stand still for a few seconds then run to a spot 20 feet away and the zombies will run to where I was and stand there for the same amount of time I was there (great time to throw grenades or fire rockets).  Is this just me or does it happen to others too?

    Personally I find these to be the rarest, most valuable things in the game.  I have more silver ore than Generic Schematics.  And considering how many you need it's crazy.  I buy them every time I see them but it's still not enough.  Considering that you need about 15-20 per mod and things have 4-5 mods that they need you're looking at 60-100 pages for every weapon/tool/armour you have.  To fully kit out you're looking at 5 amour, plus 3 tools, plus say 2 main weapons = 600 to 1000 generics per character.  These should be craftable.

    I'm farmer class and skilled lotl 2. So i should pick up 3 items from one plant accodring to the skill descriptions. I still only pick up one from wild plants. Is it broken, or maybe does the perk  just apply to self planted crops (on tilled soil/in farming plots)?

    no fertilizer.  dig a hole 2 squares deep, put the rain catcher at the bottom, hoe the ground for 4 squares around and plant your garden.  farm plots work the same as hoed ground - in DF they're really meant for underground farms using irrigation system and grow lights.

    Yes, the wolf is a little buggy. I know sphereii has been working on the AI, and we're working on fixing up some linux issues too.
    Power armor and Hazmat suits should be mixable already. Same with the Radiation Ready mods, hazmat and power armor.
    Flamethrowers are fine. They work like an auger. It's the only way I could make it work other than spitting molotovs, which just looks daft. It's got a 10 block range.
    I actually thought stun batons DID count as blunt already. Will check that.
    No, they're not the same. One is "hold trigger and gun goes brrr" while the other is single shot per left click. Autos are good for room clearance, rifles are better for stealth/sniping.

    That's why the AR/AK/M4A1/M60 are all auto.

    Okay, 2 questions about that 1) when you say the can spawn anywhere, does that include INSIDE landclaim block area?

    and 2) I've been wondering for a long time, if you put a semi-auto mod on an m4 does that then up your rifle skill or still the autoweapon skill?

     

  14. I was wondering if anyone can help me salvage my game.  My wife and I play together on local network and were doing just fine until day 21.  Now, I DID add the MD-500 helicopter mod around day 18 because the terrain was just pissing me off, but just has horde night came we started getting endless errors and the game became unplayable.  Any suggestions on a possible fix or is this save screwed?  Also, if this is not the correct log file, where would I find the correct one?
