tried to install mod but did not work the files in the download are different the in the direct install video all it did was crash my game

i dont use or like mod launcher
so is there a way to install without launcher ? the video shows 3 files to copy over there is no 7 day to die data folder in the mod in the video he says you need all 3 files.
