    Are you the developer / creator behind Darkness Falls?

     

    As I understand it you're not interested in hosting DF from yet another source. That is understandable. I'd really like to make DF5 compatible with the gaming system of our choice and the developer of it doesn't seem to be able to use the officially provided Azure link.

     

    Would you consider allowing myself / my company or another one host a secondary compatible link with the latest available download of DF?

    Any chance of getting another download link for DF5?

     

    Background: The download link on Azure isn't compatible with our host / gaming system.

    It has to be an official link or else the link won't be implemented by the provider. (or else we would've hosted the download ourselves)

    They are most often by themselves. I've played the game for some years now. Looking at how much better another player is is tough .. but maybe you're right about how good some players are at this.

    It should be pretty obvious pretty quickly. 

     

    Yes, I'm the admin and I have been following some of them around as invisible. Can't keep up with some of them although I'm in fly mode.

    Thanks for your feedback.

    The message pops up every time a player logs into the map/world.

     

    Please consider making it possible for the admin or Game Master to mute any messages that reveal this mod was added.

    In our community we often play against an active Game Master. Revealing server side mods of his or her choice really ruins any surprise moments.

  7. Interesting mod. Currently evaluating it in a community of players, with our dedicated server.

     

    Is there a way of disabling the chat message when logging into the the server?

     

    A message like that really ruins the players ability to play unknowingly about the setup and a game masters intensions for a specific map.

  8. I host multiple 7DtD worlds, all with EAC enabled. Sometimes a player comes in and before having played even a day in the game this player is able to kill each and every zombie that is presented. In quick succession too, like multiple zombies a second.

     

    It could be that I'm having a visit by God, most certainly a very successful player should he want to. It could also be that I'm having a cheater on my server.

     

    How do I find this out before giving out perma ban?

     

    It would be terrible by me to exclude a really good player just because it looks like cheating to me, I don't want to be that guy.

    I can't get the map to display on the Web Dashboard. I'm seasoned with configuring 7DtD DS. This I just can't find any official info on. The settings suggested above only makes my server echo:

     
    INF Loading permissions file at '/AMP/seven-days-to-die/294420/7DaysToDieServer_Data/../User/Saves/serveradmin.xml'
    ERR Failed loading permissions file: Root element is missing.
    ERR Failed loading permissions file: The 'webmodules' start tag on line 96 position 4 does not match the end tag of 'module'. Line 98, position 7.
     

     

    I've tried various variants of suggestions regarding this. Only one who has Permission 0 can ever see a map.

    I'd like "normal" players to see it too.

    Regarding question #2 .. Care to shed some light on the thing with PEP worlds? I might have missed a discussion regarding that. I'm running the dedicated Server and there are only "NoPEP" worlds included in the package (the "world" folder). I'd love some extra POIs.

     

    Anyway, thanks for this awesome mod.

  11. Regarding a dedicated server: As I don't have a GUI for starting DF ...

    1. Is there a way to set DF specific options like crosshair off through for example the serverconfig.xml?
    2. Is there a way to start a map with extra POIs activated? I can only see "NoPEP" world folders.
