Alright, pushing a small update to fix a few issues.

    -----WL FIXED/CHANGED-----
    !!!EAC MUST BE OFF!!!

    Game Version: 21.1
    Wasteland Version: 21.0.2.1

    -Mod Dependencies:
    SCore v.21.1.39.1623+
    NPCmod v.21.1.0.6+
    FullautoLauncher v.1.2.0
    RandomMainmenuBackground v1.0.1

-Added: SPIFSAL books can be a reward for T4+ tier completion quests
-Added: Supply Run quests return with a few small tweaks
-Changed: Tweaked the death penalty a little: Halved the duration, though it will reset if you die multiple times in a short time. Otherwise the timer will keep going down if you've lived for long enough after a death
-Changed: A few small loot tweaks to zombies
-Fixed: Utilitron FarmBot unlock causing NRE
-Fixed: Utilitrons not using new controller, causing animation issues
-Fixed: Removed trader open/close times so they can still be talked to at night
-Fixed: Ranged NPCs that can be hired cannot use corpse looting, so I added back loot bags to those entities

TYVM just downloaded and installed update. Confirmed trader talks to me at night too now. :D

The interaction issue is known, but the cause is not. Thinking it might be a vanilla issue, but not sure.

They can either be in the new or old compounds. This is normal. There will likely be more variants of their POIs added over time.

So far for me at least I can confirm the cause of the Trader Joel's A20 Compound issue is caused from being in the compound during night time (when its closed). Once it opens up in the morning, (5am i believe) if you leave the compound and come back in, the npc starts working as usual. Worked all 3 times I tried it. It appears that using A20's closed times kickout the npc is inactive. (The Trader Joel A20 Compound Version anyway)

This is intended. Traders are usually close enough you don't need a marker to find them anymore.

Awesome thanks. I just found the trader, its Joel and hes using the old base style. (A20) and he doesnt want to interact with me. Trying to get the logs.

Edited. Nope cant get the log file. I tried but apparently my game is not making a log file. Just wanted to say that Trader Joel spawns at his old A20 base for me. Not sure if anyone else is getting this.

  4. After doing the basic blackout screen spend points quest, there are no additional quests given. (usually I get one that will lead me to the very first trader.) Is this intentional? Just wondering. Thanks!

  5. Just a quick question to see if its just my computer that has this issue, but What does the fun pimps intro animation screen sound like? Since I first started all I heard was broken sound. (Imagine you heard the dolby digital intro but the speakers in your house blew out and all you can hear are bits and pieces of it) I never really cared since I thought all this time its just because my laptop is old. But a friend of mine who also plays that actually spent a lot of money on his PC says he also hears the same thing. I mean everything sounds great after that, but I still have no idea what the Fun Pimps Intro sound that plays (When the pimp cane is doing its little animation thing) sounds like. Anyone else get this issue or they are fine? Haha

Day 12 and I unlocked every cooking recipe in the game, with only one point put into Master Chef. While very convienient, it seems fairly unbalanced to have every meal recipe available to you while still using stone tools, and just before the second horde night. Just my thoughts.

You can always use those food items to increase your stamina and use those stone tools to harvest a ton of wood. (Im on day 21 and still using stone axe since level6 stone axe is stronger than level 3 fireaxe and it can also harvest ore.)

Anywho you can always cheeze the first horde night by making a long box hallway with wooden traps in the center and let those pretty much wreck every zombie on first horde night. Provided your still in forest. Since there are no flying enemies on first day 7 its pretty easy to cheese. (example O is wooden boxes and X is wood spike traps.)

    OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

OYouXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXZombies Run here straight down middle to their death.

    OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

the O's dont even have to be more than 1 high as long as the end of the hallway is completely open with only spike traps in the way. Thats what I do for first night. I either do that or use wooden hatches. Heh

  7. Just wanted to update my post here about the game running worse than A20. I just realized when launching the game client, I guess my steam beta settings were default set to use Vulkan to render. I changed it to direct x 11 and the game now gives me 25+ fps instead of 8-12. :D

  8. Anyone else having issues with quest rewards for Tier III / IV? I havent had a good reward the entire time. It feels like what its offering me is Tier II at best. (wooden bow 2nd rank, skill books, 25 steel, Leather glove 2nd rank) All for a really hard Tier IV mission I just  completed, and all the rewards ive gotten so far have been similar including back in tier 3. It feels like the quest npc tier rewards after 2 go down the hill. (Only tested Trader Joel's quests though havent gone up a tier in the other traders missions)

I got a fetch mission for a hotel. Big place. So I scouted around the building to see the best entry point. Imagine my surprise when I noticed that the package I needed was next to an outer wall. Even better that the wall was made of wood. 😀

So... I made a hole in the wall, got the package and was on my way.

The zombies that I wakeup thought that I was being rude and insisted that I stay for dinner, but I politely informed them that I have a big lunch and had to run. See ya!  😂

I'm sure that I passed up some good loot and maybe I might go back sooner or latter. But these places are full of loot stashes. So I don't think I'm going to mis it.

Thats part of the mission! Were scouts retrieving a package not paid to clear out a place. ;)

  10. Just a quick question, with every update to the experimental build. Is it typical to have to download the entire game size again? (11gb) Just wondering for reference sake. I launched steam with phone tethered and just used up 11 gigs of hotspot data. (my fault of course i forgot to uncheck auto update and left to go do some things) I was just wondering if this is typical. Thanks!

They are a combination that goes together to meet a general performance target. Moving any setting lower from a preset is not bad and should simply increase performance.

That should not be the case, but I'm curious to see how it runs for you.

My Biggest fears were warranted unfortunately. Last tested medium settings game was playable on medium with around 22-28 fps. And no delay when using mouse to move. Also XBOX One Elite controller use had no issues or major delays at all.

After updating to A21 Game was stuttering giving me less than 10 fps with noticeable mouse delay. Also the xbox elite controller barely functions it would accept a command like look up and then continue to look up and never accept another command till several seconds later. (such as look left or right)

Changed all settings slowly down from medium to lowest (medium, low, then lowest) Slight fps improvement (almost 18 fps at lowest and minimal mouse delay) however xbox one elite controller still had same issue of accepting one command such as looking in a direction and be non responsive for several seconds. (basically unplayable with controller unfortunately)

All my drivers are up to date and ive tested various settings to see if it helps, but unfortunately I am not able to play A21 in an enjoyable way. I cringe to see what happens if I was to make it to a blood moon night. (Game is launched and hosted on the laptop and has default value for hordes, etc. ) All previous saves were deleted as well. I uninstalled completely and removed all mods, had game install with the current A20 so it was a pristine clean ideal installation example and then updated to A21.

Optimized laptop to dedicate all its resources to 7d2d.

    Laptop Specs:

    2.8 GHz Intel Core i7-7700HQ Quad-Core.

    16GB DDR4 RAM | 1TB 7200 rpm HDD.

    17.3" 1920 x 1080 Anti-Glare Display.

    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 (4GB GDDR5)

    Windows 10 Home (64-Bit)

Task manager shows while in lowest settings mode:

7d2d Usage (well its both the 7DaysToDie.exe as well as the UnityCrashHandler64.exe combined into one, but the crash handler doesnt use much of each)

    26% cpu usage and 46% (3,252mb and climbing)memory

If you need any other information, please let me know. Thanks!

Thanks ill definitely let you know how it runs for me.

  13. My deepest fear is with A21 that it will become unplayable on my 8 year old laptop. (Even at lowest settings) 7d2d currently runs without any problems on it and on medium settings. Im afraid with all the new changes, improvements, and graphics that even on lowest settings my laptop wont be able to go above 10 fps. 😕 *crosses fingers*

  14. Bric A Brack is the biggest money making t1 (or even t2/t3) there is. If you want those dukes thats the way to go! (Youll have to figure out why its the most valuable in exact profit per run yourself i wont spoil it) Those who know, know

  15. Would it be possible to modify the code where if you put a snowball in the storage with food, that spoilage meter is the one that goes down instead of the food. And when no more snowballs are left then foot spoilage meter continues?

A new version has been pushed to the Github download area that includes a fix for the custom crossbow bolts from the original creator.

It is also being uploaded to the Moddb version as well but will take time as it requires the whole mod uploaded rather than just the fix section.

TY ill check it out and confirm if its working or not.

On a side note my horse all of a sudden started sinking to the ground then of course i fell through and was quickly flown into radiation zone where i slowly died. It happened when I almost fell into the pond behind the first trader location, I had enough momentum to stop from falling into the pond and was able to climb up the side of the pond but not actually fall in. After I got out and hit dry ground I continued moving and horse slowly started sinking (id say took about 5 seconds to be completely absorbed by the ground with my horse)

  17. All of the custom crossbows have an issue with enclosed areas. The hitboxes of other objects block the bolt from reaching its path and you cant recover the bolts if they are affected by this they just become a permanent addition to the area of floating bolts.
