  1. This is STILL ongoing. My first Tier 5 attempt in A21 (and I've played hundreds of hours already, I just restart often), and I'm faced with this frustration/annoyance.

     

    Maybe I underestimate how difficult this bug is to fix. I guess I'll abandon the quest because I'd rather spend my time doing a POI that doesn't require me to constantly break ~7k hp blocks to progress.

    I wanted to make sure it wouldn't cause an issue that wouldn't cause a crash, but would somehow show up later in the playthrough. I've never played DF, so I might not notice if something was off, and I didn't want to find out many hours into a playthrough.

    I don't know much, but it doesn't seem like this would cause issues. I don't believe DF changes any of the containers that this modlet alters.

    Lead spawns in specific biomes - snow and desert, I believe. Check the journal entries as it lists which resources spawn where.

  3. I'm trying to find out if a certain modlet works with DF. It's called "Loot Cleanup". It "Destroys certain containers after looting, to clean up the environment." It's nice in that it destroys bird nests, garbage bags, and other similar containers, after you've looted them, making them disappear and helping you avoid attempting to loot said container a second time (I turn loot respawn off, so they wouldn't get repopulated anyway).

    Are you aware that there is a mod available now that does this? Would be nice to have in vanilla, but if you'd like this functionality, you can have it now.

    I'm having an issue now in the Crack-A-Book Tower T5 POI (skyscraper_02). I've done this POI many times, and I always take the same route. For some reason, when I entered through the window like normal, none of the zombies inside spawned (and I DID start the quest by clicking the exclamation point trigger thing - I got the quest objective in the upper right of the screen too). Then, after trying to make noise and stuff and find them, they suddenly spawned when I was in one of the upper rooms.

     

    I did have some cops spawn outside and enter before the sleepers started spawning. They cops damaged some of the POI areas also before the spawning started. Is it possible that if a block that a sleeper is supposed to spawn on is somehow destroyed before that sleeper spawns on it, that sleeper won't be able to spawn? Some zombies/sleepers spawn in the first area you enter for this POI - they spawn on the roof, on top of glass panes. I think some of those panes were broken before the sleepers actually started spawning. Perhaps that's the issue?

     

    Here's a screenshot after I've cleared the entire POI, gotten the end loot, etc. I've wandered all over this area, and can't get anything new to spawn:

     

    ETA: I failed the quest by moving away from it (after this screenshot was taken), and the yellow marker remained. I had to save/exit, and reload the map to get it to disappear.

  6. I toyed with the rwgmixer.xml a bit. I increased the towns and cities min and max number of tiles, and made them more plentiful than default. I ended up getting all 8 Tier 5 POIs on this map. I think there's a total of 15 T5 POIs. Wilderness POIs are set to the default "many" (no xml edits there), zero lakes/craters/mountains/cracks/etc. Plains are at 10, and everything else is at zero. My goal was to get all 5 T5 POIs on the map, and I finally got it after running through the gen previewer tool thing a number of times. This is the biome layout. It has a massive Wasteland biome (all but one of the T5 POIs are in the Wasteland or the Snow biome - the majority are in the Wasteland). There is one T5 POI (the Shotgun Messiah factory) in the Desert, but there's also another Shotgun Messiah Factory in the Wasteland. I'm excited about playing this map.

    If you want to be specific, then created a mod to edit the specific subsection of the XML for your given preferences(I did this for both "town" and "city" to create this map):

    Can you somehow share this map so I (and others) can play on it?

     

    Does this have all the Tier 5 POIs available, and are they all in the Wasteland, or at least in biomes other than the Forest?
