    As you are really new at this, here is a common way of sharing mods, or edits to another creators' sharings.

    1. Make the amendments and ensure it fully checks out.
    2. Contact the original creator(s) and check for permissions on sharing in public.
    There are certain assets and features that are made a certain way to match the creator's concept or to balance alongside existing assets and veering from that may upset the balance.
    3. If permission is granted, share in the knowledge that the creator is good with everything and that there may be other players who will find value in it.

     

    It's not really good courtesy to accept removing only if a complaint is made. This puts it into the league of something like a .gif trawling website that take anything they can as their own, and ask the creators to contact them if they do not approve.

  2. Hi. I want to start by saying I don't really know anything about making or sharing mods. I'm just kinda winging this, but it seems to be working.

     

    I really love turrets and I wanted some more option for them so I installed War3zuk's Adv Junk Turret mod, but I'm playing with Darkness falls and other mods that add guns and ammo and I wanted turrets for them as well. I know nothing about modding, but by using context clues, common sense, and reverse engineering I was able to add a few turrets to War3zuk's Adv Junk Turret mod and figured I might as well share it.

     

    To use the mod just install War3zuk's Adv Junk Turret mod and replace the text in the War3zuk Adv Junk Turret\Config\Items XML with this:
