AtOmIc LoBsTeR
My friends and I love to take the Dwarven approach to this game and dig, dig, dig. The other day one of my friends suggested that it would be fun if there was more to dig for asides minerals. This gave us the idea of underground biomes such as -Sewer systems -Subway tunnels -Fallout shelters -Military command centers -Underground lakes/rivers(complete with mutant alligators!) -Missle silos -Abandoned bandit hideouts This would add a whole other world beneath the surface and raiding them would be a challenge without the aid of daylight. With the addition of random world generation in the future, finding one would be a real treat when digging. Thank you for taking the time to read this, see you in the mines! Xamllew
Yes to all. I'd be pretty disappointed if they let this great voxel terrain system go to waste by not at least adding natural caves. Bunkers and shelters make a lot of sense to the lore of the game since WWIII has happened and all that mess, not to mention going through a pitch black pre-war bunker with nothing but torchlight would be terrifying. Marvison
I'd love to explore giant underground military complexes. Maybe ones that have several generator areas and each one you have to fight through zombies to activate. Once activated they unlock armories. Linx77
- Jungle ravines as well, that would be cool - Military bunkers to raid from the surface, complete with riot gear zeds - Oil and lava lakes - Natural silo (I didn't know what else to call it), a tall round cave which has no ledges except a few entrances and lands in water - No matter what, underground mobs. Like mutant spiders or as you said mutant alligators I did post something with a similar goal a week ago and it got no intention, my goal was to make the underground world more exciting http://7daystodie.com/forums/showthread.php?11666-A-diverse-exciting-and-challenging-underground-experience
Gralad
yes to all what OP wrote. but i do believe (or rather i hope) that the devs already have that in their minds.
Lexicroft
And in underground military bunker zombie spawn continuously , 2 - 3 zombie , so a shotgun is a must when raiding it And if sewer / subway system, what benefit it can give to player when raiding it, I mean military complex does give a ton of ammunition or military grade weapon, but sewer and subway... Rat meat?

Thulf
Yea... i agree with most of it! What i like the most is oddfish's thought on lava, since im against having magma/lava in ones backpack or a bucket(how silly is that?!?!!?)
mitch19701
Lava should be under bedrock unless there is an open fizzure or you are on top an active volcano.
Linx77
Who said anything about collecting lava, I did not even remotely suggest the collection of lava. Simply the presence of it

But what I had in mind were things like nature, not preconstructed bases. I'm thinking caves with stilagmites and underground waterfalls, drop-offs several feet/meters deep, lagoons of clear or poluted water (that one could be crafted I guess), biomes like above ground biomes would be like. Maybe you can chop roots that you come across. Basically, it's not the buildings that make it a biome, it is the land type and the kind of vegetation that grows on it. Mikeforall
perhaps an idea to put natural caves and groundlife on the list then? :friendly_wink:

The rest seems redundant and useless
perhaps an idea to put natural caves and groundlife on the list then? :friendly_wink:
Mineshaft? If there's building there must be human made mineshaft no? but yes adding natural caves would be good to add bears (and bear trap, bunny trap with it:encouragement:)
Linx77
What about underground lakes/rivers. I would like to see them more than anything else. My top three are 1. Underground lakes/rivers (must have mutant alligators) 2. Subway tunnels 3. Sewer systems (I believe I suggested this myself at some point. Don't remember when)

Zvex
I think, they need to modify structural integrity first ... now the arc-type structure doesn't act as real. For example if you have a 1 block width tunnel underground, and you build a column right above it - it will collapse. So when you build a base you cannot be sure it will not collapse because of small tunnel which is deep underground. I have a question about structural integrity, maybe some1 knows. I will illustrate it by another example, where air=0 and building material are numbers: 022220 020020 411114 311113 100001 here 2 - a house, 1/3/4 - ground. The question is: does the structural integrity sums up from 3 and 4 and calculates for 1x8 and 2x6 , 13 blocks total? Maybe it is not that bad then, if the cave is deep underground.
