SilvanasMax Posted December 14, 2018 Share Posted December 14, 2018 I can't find it, but there was a recent post about the lack of skyscrapers in random gen, and a number of users also stated they could not find them. After running literally dozens of maps to test out various functionsI, too, found I never saw a big building, especially the distinct OG dungeon: the Construction building. So I decided to forcibly add them. Create a world, go into the "World" folder, and find the name of the world you just made (as a subfolder). Dive in, open the prefabs.xml file, and edited the first 4 entries to be skyscrapers 01-04 (the Pharmacutical building, the crack a book tower, the construction tower, and a fourth one that is by far the tallest). <decoration type="model" name="skyscraper_01" position="-704, 46, -1208" rotation="2" /> <decoration type="model" name="skyscraper_02" position="-704, 46, -1184" rotation="3" /> <decoration type="model" name="skyscraper_03" position="-704, 46, -1176" rotation="2" /> <decoration type="model" name="skyscraper_04" position="-732, 46, -1168" rotation="0" /> Went to those coordinates found all four buildings merged together because they were so close. Forum is not liking my image upload attempt though, so I will say that it IS possible to have skyscrapers in the game, but the random gen is simply not allowing it (even when, in an earlier test, I FORCED the rxgen to have only skyscrapers in specific areas, then eventually as ALL buildings, resulting in a blank world). The fps drop is noticable close in to the buildings especially as the zombies (by the seeming hundreds) all start popping in. Hope this helps in the hunt for skyscrapers.
