Flurry of Blows + Mining

Havnt tested this myself yet but it would make mining soo much quicker. Has anyone tried it too see if the speed of swinging tools to gather increases the same as weapons?

I believe it does as things like the fireaxe and pickaxe or considered weapons and are thus affected by the sexual rex perk so it would only make sense that flurry of blows would also affect it.

Looking at the code, Flurry of Blows only increases the attack speed of "light" weapons, which include hunting knife, clubs, machete but not the pickaxe, fire axe or shovel.

So what is heavy? is it just the sledge hammer? that is a little annoying if that is the only heavy weapon, unless they are going to add a steel one. I have mixed feelings on the sledge hammer, i used to like them in the older versions, but in 208 i liked the fire ax alot, and now in 211 i like the iron club.

I tried FoB in b199, it worked on Stone Axe, but not on Iron Pickaxe as others have said. And actually for early game using Stone Axe it's probably not going to help very much; you're basically Stamina limited.

 

If resources are what you're after, you might want to consider getting Mother Lode ahead of Miner 69er. Unless you're intent is to clear blocks of course.

So not the fire ax? that stinks, because that became a viable weapon in 208. I have not played with it much in 211, but if that got affected by the heavy weapon perk i might start using it again.
