PPanda0421
Hi, I can't make a crucible. There's no mention of it in journals or any perk description. Says I need steel smithing perk but I think that was removed in A17e. In craftsmanship perks I have 3/4 in Hammer & Forge (I can make steel tools) and everything else is 2/5. Intellect is 8. I'm about to level to level 70 and I don't want to waste a skill point. Thanks.

Open the workbench and search for crucible.

They should remove that perk requirement in the description though.
Zourin
forged iron, a big pile of rocks, a smaller pile of clay, a few mech parts I think, and a workbench. One of the great things about a17 is that you can have and repair iron and steel tools without having to actually have the knowledge to make them, assuming you find and babysit working forges, workbenches, tablesaws, and chem stations. Steel pickaxe day 1? yes pls. Also, wrenches don't require perks to make, just the steel, mech parts, and workbench.

I needed the crucible to make steel arrowheads, steel arrows and then flaming arrows. Horde night was coming and I had no gunpowder lol. I found lots of wrenches so I didn't need to make any of them early. Haven't found any mods for them (if they exist) either. Eventually I got sick of looking at grey wrenches and made myself a blue (level 5) one. If you found a steel pickaxe on day 1 wouldn't it be like 1 hit, rest 30 secs to regen stamina, rinse/repeat?
