Severalboxes
So has anyone noticed you can make steel bullet casings in the forge now? Crucible is required. When did that sneak into the game... I figured that would be a big deal. I'm feeling trigger happy now.
myrkana
Steel casings will wear your gun down faster than the normal bullets. Make sure you have access to repair kits before you go trigger happy with them They added them in with a17.
secateurs
I've found that gunpowder is the limiting ingredient anyway now.
Scyris
Steel casings cause the gun to take double durability per shot, and the steel casing made ammo also hits for less damage, only 5% or so though. Magnum goes from 80 with brass, to 76 if using steel casings. The steel ones are bascally a fallback to the age old problem of: I've run out of brass!. - - - Updated - - - I've found that gunpowder is the limiting ingredient anyway now. Doesn't help that in b208, there is a bug that makes all the ore nodes look the same, they all look like coal no matter what type it is. Other than the stalgmites in the caves. Not as good as brass, but serviceable. That's win enough in my book.

They aren't much different than a glass jar, without the threads for the lid they should be easier to make. You may also want to change the Science perk so that it doesn't take half the game to be able to make a chemistry station or BOOKMARK POI's WITH ACTIVE CRAFTING STATIONS. Severalboxes
I was thinking the steel cased would be good for the 9mm auto turrets, since they are bullets hoses. I remember in A16 spending at least a full day between horde nights scavenging brass to refill the 4 turrets I was using. But yeah in A17 I'm having a tough time getting gunpowder now.
