gwhit
I was thinking that this perk needs a redo IMO because first two points in it a very very lacking and not even worth it till hit level cap where can unlock the 3rd one. So there is no point in placing 1 or 2 points in this as looting faster really is not worth spending 1 skill point on. So first two ranks I think need to offer some other benefit like 3 point up do. Looting faster is huge imo, Have you ever had to sit at a munitions box for 15 seconds? Feels like an eternity when hoping you didn't miss a military zombie lol
Guest
It only matters with a handful out of many containers, and I really wouldn't want to see more containers with longer loot times. Staring at a countdown timer isn't my idea of engaging gameplay. I agree that the first points into that perk feel wasted, especially compared to other perks with much more pronounced effects. I agree with they feel wasted if you take them early level, because they are. But quick looting pays of in the end imo.
Wigbert
A point invested now... still counts as a point in late game. Besides... I find that there is not much I want to spend points on in early game. usually I end up getting cooking ... because food. Agility usually 2 points ..... need to crank up that stamina.. Archery .... Because it is fun. ususally leaves me with a point left unless I want to invest in miner69er.
babspsol
Fast Eddie was critical to my builds in previous alphas and being able to loot fast is important for certain play styles (always run or passive looting) but those first 2 levels do seem weak, perhaps the price you pay to unlock a strong level 3 perk. My sole reason for existing in 7D2D is looting. I am a loot king. In A16 I poured ALL of my points in to scavenging and quality joe and had a hay day. In a17 I won't touch Lucky Looter or Scavenger. They're a waste of points, in my opinion.

The first two levels of Lucky Looter ARE a waste of time, but level 3 is really useful for finding more loot.
lazyknob
I skipped A16, so I'm using A15 as context. Back then 1 in game day = 1 town looted. Now if you're being a little immersive and sneaky, 1 day = 2-3 large buildings. For me, the gain from reduced time in looting is a lot diminished in A17. Back in A15, you're just zipping in and out so instaloot makes a huge difference. A17? Not at all. Not to me anyway.

But that was A16. It was always one of my very early picks then too. Now, no. The reduction coupled with less looting (cause no zed corpses) makes it much less important to me now. I wouldn't even consider it until later on when I can jump to lvl 3 and even then it doesn't feel like a priority. I'm not saying OMG it's trash, either, all the perks are useful and there's just not enough points to go around early game, especially SP. A point invested now... still counts as a point in late game. Besides... I find that there is not much I want to spend points on in early game. usually I end up getting cooking ... because food. Can always use more everything if you ask me. My 1st 5 healing factor - no brainer cardio - also no brainer int 2 - lvl 1 tools durability a drag pack mule - cause being encumbered sucks strike from shadows (or whatever it's called) - this is going to put meat on the table when you find a deer (makes the pig easier too), if you're going "bow spec" take this even before headshot or archery everyone should get cooking 1, but it can wait a level or 3, before you go hide for the night (and hopefully found a cooking pot/working forge to make 1)

Because later on I just don't really use my stam to run so much. I hope on my vehicle and go wherever. In the close confines of a house I'm searching, I usually don't need the cardio bonus to just rush out if I get swamped or to back up as I take them out. Zourin
Most level 1 and 2's of perks are weak, with a few exceptions to obvious early game perks and 'must takes'. Level 3 is where most skills mature, and lucky looter is a must-have for any big POI raider. The only one I find iffy is Rule One: Cardio. Because later on I just don't really use my stam to run so much. I hope on my vehicle and go wherever. There's an item in the game that are some fugly green running shoes that drops stam consumption for running by half. combined with Rule 1, you can actually run for over a KM without taking a break. I haven't tried L4 or L5 of Rule 1, but you can run pretty far unarmored, making it a crazy good air drop or Trader-trip skill. Rule 1 combined with Parkour can do absolutely crazy ♥♥♥♥ that could even dodge BM hordes. +1/2 jump height and never sprain/break? Car and fence jump all night, and even run up ladders and jump off low roofs. If you DO happen to run low on stamina, Automatic Weapons perk can be used to restore stam. (SMG!) Whorhay
For me those first two points are more about reducing the amount of digging to complete trader quests. Even if you prefer the other style of quests you get a bonus completion when you do a full set of them.
PoppaTot
never sprain/break I've been curious, do you still HP damage from falling too far? If not, that is OP AF and I'll probably use it lol
Katitof
Looting faster = looting more in the same time = having more time to do other stuff.
