Vehicles on Horde night

As I understand now, on night seven you can drive you mini bike around during the night to avoide the horde. Will that be changed or balanced in A17. If so how with that work with the gyrocopter as you could just fly during the night to avoid the horde.

I think either a specialized zombie that can hurt vehicles more or you get struck by lightning.

Well, the way I see it, if you can do well enough to acquire a vehicle of sort, its definitely within your right to try and outrun the horde the entire night.

I don't think we should have zombies that can suddenly start flying (we already have the vultures for that) or Zeds that can suddenly make Usain Bolt look like a tortoise and outrun vehicles.

As for the Lightning idea.... definitely a nope as that would be literally RNG and based on my experience with other games, it is pure frustration to get killed by RNG factors.

...this is like underground dwelling...

If a player wants to take his time and use his resources to be in a vehicle for night, why can't he without the "no fun allowed" police telling them how they should play?

Yes, if you need a ton of gas to fly that thing for an hour - which you should. Else you are just saying "throwing gameplay out of the window is fun".

I don't see how this is any different from just running away.

Because if you run away zombies will be able to catch you eventually, given that you can't spam drinks, outregen sprinting, given that you can't render most of the game meaningless etc. Right Gazz...?

Because PvP... No other possible reason...

Because driving around requires more effort and resources then curling into a shaking ball at the bedrock, doing nothing, spending nothing and risking nothing.

Risk should never be utter zero for utter zero effort.

Huh, weird. I thought digging the holes, making sure they don't collapse, securing enough food and water, and in general not building yourself up, used time, tools, wasted perks and other resources. Weird.

And it does absolutely nadda over any other regular day and especially blood moon night.

Simple solution for A17:

Bike and minibike dall over when they hit anything bigger then trash.

And ALL landvehicles should use 3-10x fuel on everything but concrete-like blocks.

And a gyrocopter should be quick but use 300 fuel a minute.

This means that it is still possible to drive away but it takes more skill and/or preparation then just pressing “w“.

For everyone calling people like me “funpolice“: stop it.

We want a challenge in survival games. Which means using every trick in the book. But if one trick completely breaks one aspect of survival (hordenight), its not a challenge anymore, but a broken game.

I don't want to ruin your fun. I want exploits to be fixed (forA16 that includes stuff like:

-base on stilts

-Underground base

-chilling on top of a lake on hordenight

-just driving away)

Im not saying “disallow it“ but puni♥♥♥♥.

Drive away? Zombies still rip apart your base.

Stilts getting targeted.

Zombiedogs beeing able to swim faster then the player.

Car getting damaged a little when hitting zombies...

Make it, so that there is no “easy way out“ because that is not what “survival“is about.

And if you dislike certain things, you can still mod it.

true but every zombie game that add cars make it easy.

If they can hop on your car like state of decay would be awesome.

You are being EXTREMELY generous to the underground play style.

Digging the hole = 3 minutes of dig time

Making sure it doesn't collapse = It wont since new SI was introduced to prevent that, plus going far enough down they won't get to you.

Enough food and water = 2 meat and 2 water, good to go.

What perks are needed to dig straight down?

Bro that hole I dug and 2 meat I collected was alot of work, I should be rewarded with a completely safe horde night. Lulz

Work should be rewarded.

Yes, actual active work in fending off horde or preparing enough traps to do it for you or having means to keep yourself on the move to avoid direct combat.

You know, actually playing the game through intended hazard time, not avoiding it completely without any kind of risk or work.

Pretending to be a hibernating hamster on bedrock is no work at all.

Building a regular base with regular supply also doesn't count here, because again, its just a regular base with regular supplies for regular days.

And soon, it'll be regularly ruined by diggers, unless you actually put a real effort in the blood moon night.

Sorry, not sorry, but zero effort "survival" bases won't be an option soon.

I mostly worry about the scary aspect of the 7th night. It doesn’t become scary if you can avoid it easily. I’m mostly think about Subnatica when they changed the Cyclopes from being invincible to breaking down easily. It made the game more thrilling and scary.

At least you are not safe just by hiding on a roof anymore.

Sure you have all kinds of reasons and methods for avoiding the horde nights.. But most people id think... at least people who have endgame gear... would want to.

Building a viable defense...and then harvesting the loot from the rarer "horde night only" zombies is a good enough reason for most....

Also.. devs could maybe do an option where zombies...well.. target your "base".. instead of only "you"...Forcing you to defend?
