The testing phase of the gallery has been started. Planned duration: 1 Week.^^ The prefab can currently be visited on the German PvE Server:

Location: 1100 N, 3600 W (Community Village)

We proudly present 'The Modern Art Gallery'. Top Minder and I have been working on this project for about 12 weeks. Now is time to release a first version. This prefab is embedded in a modlet that should make it compatible with most other modlets and overhauls.

 

 

 

Download Modlet (last update - may 30th):

Installation:

 

 

 

Note: See Readme.txt in modlet folder for more details.

 

1. Download and extract the modlet.

2. Copy the folder 'Mods' into the 7 Days to Die main directory*.

3. Replace the files at the destination if Windows prompts you to do so.

4. Re(start) the game.

5. In order to spawn the prefab on a random gen map, you have to generate a new world.

 

*The default location of the main directory is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\7 Days To Die

Hints:

 

* The gallery requires significantly above-average hardware to show everything as intended. In particular, having shadows activated affects the performance negatively, but is recommended for certain artworks.

 

 

Features:

 

* Three floors + roof full of surprises.

* ~80 handmade artworks

* Manually placed sleepers and volumes

* Unique traps and building techniques

* Large garden on the roof

* Compatible with most overhauls and other modlets

Pretty prefab this art gallery.

 

However what i completely disklike are these vehicles built out of blocks, like the helicopter on the roof. Even if good modelled they don't even come close to the real shape of such a vehicle and that's why they totally do not fit into the scene. I'd say the helicopter here is still one of the best attempts i've seen so far, but it still doesn't fit.

There are much worse attempts in other prefabs, e.g. in the Compopack. I'd prefer them having it removed. It just looks bad and has absoluty no effect, as you can't use them, not even loot like cars.

lol so disagree with you. they look amazing and definately do fit in. so you cant use them lol.... make a gyro or dl a mod that adds useable helicopters. but the prefab is amazing and looks great and the helicopters/vehicles made of blocks is creative .

 

and they look like what they are spose to. the helicopter looks like a helicopter.

 

Great work Pille and Topminder another incredible prefab for us to play with

Ok, I'll see what I can do. Although I can't guarantee to provide updates for this custom version in upcoming patches. Each new POI means additional work when converting it for a new game version...

 

The only thing I ask is if you can add in your description the x,y and z of the prefab please so we can add it to nitrogen ourselves. (I can do it lol just be quicker haha)

No problem and nice suggestion btw. Which one represents the vertical coordinate / height? y?

If you go into prefab editor in game it is in the exact layout i mean right side of screen up top left side of tools will have like 80,32,101 or what ever it is lol.

 

Like i said i can do it but being lazy haha :-P
