Lockspur
Early game I just avoid the Wasteland completely. Later game, I will typically build a path to where I need to go. Yes, I have build a three wide wooden “road” to get to the trader in the wasteland. I have also build a wood frame path to treasure map locations. Can’t blow up if you aren’t on the ground.Wait. That works? I thought of doing it to get to drops/treasure but was afraid setting frames down would set them off.

Pinz
Wait. That works? I thought of doing it to get to drops/treasure but was afraid setting frames down would set them off. For me, being on top of the frames helps me see them better. Maybe because I am looking right at the block I am setting the frame and not scanning the ground while running. andrewcu
Bringing this back...... i started a new game recently and have already acquired 8 treasure maps before day 10. I gave it a little time before actually going for them, and i started to last night on day 17. Of course, the second treasure map i open is in the wastelands! Honestly at first i was annoying trying to drive in circles hoping to avoid any landmines, which i did really good at! i grabbed the treasure and headed for a road, i got 10 feet from the road and hit a land mine once it happened though i was kind of glad..... i feel like it adds an extra challenge to the game and i kinda like it. not only did i have to go alllll the way back to get my loot, but when i got there the handlebars on my bike were destroyed and i had to walk all the way back to my base without it. i would have taken it apart but i had too much loot from the treasure maps and loot drops. Moral being, stop complaining about having a challenge. Yes its annoying but its part of the game so get over it
Mr8liner
They just need to add an explosive perk to the game. Having that might give a reason to use explosives more often. They talk about making this game " real" but in real life you can disarm them.
Darkphnix
getting killed by something you can't see is terrible. ive stopped playing after the third death in a row from invisible land mines. there is literally nothing there. no hubcap or candy tin. ive even walked up to a dead zombie only to get killed by a land mine the zombie was laying on. don't kill a game with bad decisions. I agree. They are a bad decision on how to make the game challenging. It’s now just another biome on my ignore list as there is no reason to go there.
