GRAW2ROBZ
I think the gardening on this game has some mathematical errors. Example cob of corn. If you take that cob and husk it into seeds. Ya should get over 100+ seeds easily. Same goes for a potato. A potato has like 8+ eyes on it. Dice that it should have at least a good 8 seeds. Its like I planted one potato a few days ago. I see now plant was big and said one potato. I picked it then click for seed and replanted. Made no sense. Unless fertilizers give ya more seeds per plant? I never tried fertilizer yet. Unless the plants are annuals where they come up yearly then i'll shut up. hahahahaha I been making gasoline like crazy. Only so many cars to wrench or to make gas at chem table. Only so many gas pumps as well. Still the one for one ratio for corn. Kinda of a pain ya get one seed. Time I make corn meal then have murky water then fat to make one can of one hundred. Then I lose glass jars as well. Not much glass any where to melt to make jars. I bust picture frames and windows and broken glass pieces on the ground. Shame we cant make radiation suits to go in the red zone. There's a bunch of cars there to wrench for gas. I might have to go to that oil plant and get oil for gasoline. Oh and today is the first I got a full AK 47 assembled.
Damselx1
If you plant a seed directly into dirt, you'll only get one plant. Till the ground and you should get two plants per seed. Treat your tilled ground with fertiliser and you get even more back per seed. If you're running low on glass, try smelting sand - you can easily get plenty of glass for bottles. If you find a desert, you can also dig for shale and make gas from that.
EasyPeasyLemonSqueezy
Fertilised dirt yields 4 per plant. Normal dirt is useless for crops... As for jars, I think you can still scrap sand into broken glass unless it's been patched. I haven't tried it recently because I tend to find empty glass jars everywhere, anyway. Also congrats on building your AK 47. I've never actually had one of those on survival yet, but then again, all I need is my trusty hunting rifle and a 44. Magnum. Oh, and a barbed baseball bat... because you know... Negan from The Walking Dead. :/

Can I use them metal buckets of water at chem table? Or best to bucket water to roof and make a horse trough then dip jars in it? I have the river a few hill's beyond my outpost by boobie trap. If I use buckets to fill a trough for water source. Is it infinite? Or does the water go down after a while using jars? I'll just make sand from rocks in cement mixer. I always have rocks. Or I could go in one of my tunnels. I got boxes all over with 6,000+ in each slot. Yeah I find lots of jars. But I make lots of gasonline then lose every jar. Its a vicious circle. Borrow from Peter to pay Paul. hahahha Yeah that AK47 looked snazzy. But i put it in the box. I'm cutting back on going wild firing away with my sniper rifle. I still try to carry about 500 rounds on me. But mainly make arrows all day. I try to have 200 on me. Fire arrows are fun. But when ya aim the fire ball gets in the way. Thanks for the tips though. Shame we don't have diving suits. I thought about making a base on that island on navezgane map. Maybe a bridge. But would need to get to the bottom of the river and place pillars. Shame there's no boats. Even a raft be nice. I seen on twitter they almost got that jeep done. They need final touch ups for smoke coming out of the smoke stacks and dirt coming off the tires. Looked nice. Lucky PC players.
sandman2838
I like to head to the snow biome and dig up a bunch of snow. It stacks to like 6000 and you make water with it at campfire. Plus, a trip to the snow is always a bit of fun. Hunting is usually good, the jacks tend to have good stuff, and coal is everywhere waiting to be picked up. As for pillars, just have some concrete blocks on yo and dive down, place a couple, come up, and repeat. Make sure to monitor your breath, but you can usually get them done with minimal issues, then use metal trusses to support to increase the span and minimize the number of pillars you need. As for jars, I always have a forge filled with sand that smelts into glass. Sand is easy to come by.

Can I use them metal buckets of water at chem table? Or best to bucket water to roof and make a horse trough then dip jars in it? I have the river a few hill's beyond my outpost by boobie trap. It needs to be glass jars at the chem station. Unless you have a water source close to your base (such as a swimming pool, water tower, flooded basement or lake/river) it's not worth making a trough to store water. If you don't have a water source but do have a snow biome in easy reach, you can dig up snow and melt it in the campfire for dirty/clean water. If I use buckets to fill a trough for water source. Is it infinite? Or does the water go down after a while using jars? I'll just make sand from rocks in cement mixer. I always have rocks. Or I could go in one of my tunnels. Borrow from Peter to pay Paul. hahahha Yeah that AK47 looked snazzy. But i put it in the box. I'm cutting back on going wild firing away with my sniper rifle. A trough is not an infinite source of water - back when I used to make a trough (a long time ago now), I got round it by exploiting the game mechanics but I don't know if that still is possible. Basically, I used to fill a couple of buckets, tip them into a large trough then refil one bucket. There was water left to fill some jars. Back then, we could only stack 15 empty jars and so it got tedious real quick. I gave up on troughs and made sure to build where there was a decent water source within an easy run (say 1 to 1.5k away) and then just take a load of jars at once. Much easier to do, now they stack more.
GRAW2ROBZ
I suppose I could forget about the trough and just make a couple 100 jars with sand. Unless the ratio of sand to a piece of glass is crazy. I'll find out when I play. My luck its probably like 100 sand to make 10 glass which equals 1 jar. Ignoringmywife1
In the beginning it's helpful if you can't find water. Make a hole 2×2 pour a bucket of water in. Scoop with glass jars till there is one spot of water left. Use the bucket to pick up the last spot. Pour it out again and repeat. Never ending. One time I made water flow into a hole down to bed rock from a lake right next to our base. Right into our resource room. I put spikes in there just in in case so.eine jumped in. Only one person did ever. It was pretry funny.
TendaFoot
The sand to glass ratio is really great actually. Two units of sand will make a glass jar. I have a crate filled with purified water and something like 480 jars of murky water. You can use your cement mixer to make fertilizer in too. Pinz
For fertilizer, it is much more efficient to dig it up from the burning biome. Look for single black dots/pixels on the map. Dig there.
GRAW2ROBZ
Yeah I made like over 200+ jars already. Made 4 fertilizers.
Ignoringmywife1
Did they add being able to get fertilizer from burnt biom? I thought that was only pc
TendaFoot
No they have added it. It looks just like the fertilized ground, dog that spot and around it and I usually get like three from around it. I made a 5x10 garden like that, now I just use the mixer and chem station to make it for me while I focus on gathering other resources.
Pinz
From what I have noticed in the burning biome, one fertilized patch will yield one fertilizer. You may need to dig out four blocks to get that patch, but I think it is more related to how it is displayed as opposed to a percent chance. GRAW2ROBZ
I have wasteland biom in walking distance south of the boobie trap. Tiny cabin there. I might chop around.
