Subseven
Hello My english is not the best. Sorry for that. Have you guys any idea how to increase the speed of the minibike? Thank you Tobi
EltzNC
The mini bike speed on console is not reflective of the quality of the bike. There isn't a way to increase the speed.
Subseven
Oh no its so slow! But thank you for the answer.
Gamida
From what I have seen mentioned in forum the minibike may even get a bit slower. I am pretty sure it was said that the new hog will be the max speed of the minibike and the minibike will be slowed down to reflect its smaller size. When and if this gets carried over to the console I do not know. Please don't ask for the post where I may have saw this as my search skills on the forum suck. It also may have been mentioned in one of Madmoles videos, who knows.

The speed of the minibike is set, and limited on the console because the hardware cannot keep up if it moves faster.
Balun
Doesnt the engine durability "color" determine the speed of a mini bike?
Outlaw_187
Doesnt the engine durability "color" determine the speed of a mini bike? Yes & tire quality plays a small role too if I'm not mistaken. I think they are talking about the max speed allowed on console....that's how I took the question anyway. Our bikes will never match pc speed unfortunately.
Jethrobuzz
all bikes regardless of their quality run at 10 m/s (meter per second I assume) The better engine and parts will reduce the noise level and consume less gas but you wont go faster. Balun
Ok now im confused. As long as my mini bike out runs dogs im happy, I really dont need it any faster. I looked forever for a very high durability motor so it would be faster. So is jethro correct or is Outlaw correct? Sylen/Clare?

Not true, at least in Valmod, don’t remember in vanilla though. Speed is definitely tied to item quality so I guess I shall fire up a vanilla server to test. This is a console discussion though, and their version differs from the PC in this respect.

I was not aware of that. Seems I learn something new everyday with this game.
blackout68
Forward speed seems fine to me, but man it takes forever to backup after running into something while being chased on it.
unholyjoe
realizing this is Console Section but here is some ss of bike in a16.4b8 (no mods). i set down a minibike frame and then add different QL small engines... then i place down a QL600 frame and add everything QL 600 to it excluding engine. none of the speeds were changed until a small engine was inserted then the speed of the bike is governed ny the small engine... all other parts and their QLs determine damage the bike takes (degradation) and handling but not speed. yes, i did test the frame with low QL tires and high QL tires... tires and other parts do not affect the speed (just the small engine). hope this helps and as Sylen noted... console handles things different, you may want to get in touch with Claire to see if she can find out from their devs to see if consoles are treated different of not. here is screen shots... https://imgur.com/a/d50wU and blackout68.... our reverse is slow too. oh as with Columbo... one last thing.... i grabbed a QL1 minibike and all parts at QL1 too.... tested with the 3 different engines and exact results.... so other then how much gas it uses and how much degradation fall rate it... its just as effective to snatch low quality stuff and work on finding the high quality engine for speed. FYI for those who question this. my test is with a16.4b8 PC version and is basically showing what i tested on my game so that console testers can test it on their versions if they choose to. THIS doe not say that console will be the same. Your milage may vary as they say.

rejaan
I can confirm my minibike (on valencia) runs at a whopping 5 mph and it has a tiny (5) engine game before it ran at
