I had a good route with 10 or so lootable containers that can spawn beakers, I didn't find my first beaker until level 108. It's a bit much.

Just this weekend I got 4 beakers in a single POI.

 

Random is random...

I usually get beaker in all my game before level 30 is been hit. same for tool and die cast, either I found them or saw on trader which I cannot buy and have to pass, but I saw it exists. never had problem like those cases mention above, 100+ and still not found thing.

 

I am guessing either your play style doesn't include lot of POI or you skip some kind of POI that give more chances. I am doing lot of new house dungeon and regular house, didn't grow enough to do big tower yet, but maybe you try to change that?

Can you make it so that vehicles gain speed when going downhill? or even just let them roll down? thanks.

 

Yeah, I agree with this one... they should speed up as much going downhill as they slow down going up hill. The bike should speed up enough to give you enough speed to get you partially up the next hill.

I'm level 121, crafting a gyrocopter right now, but still can't find a tool and die set to craft my 10,000 brass in my forge lol

 

We found our first around day 50.. and found three more by day 66.. it truly is random, but we liked it because it made us save ammo for horde nights, and be more careful going through pois.

Bless them. If only they were geologists because then they wouldn't get burned out so easily. I mean, Earth is still in the early game, and you don't see DaVega complaining.

I found one in a working stiffs POI. Im level 50-something. Not sure if bumping lucky looter skill helps but I presume yours is already fairly high given your level.

Got tool and die set first week with lucky looter 2nd level. I am lvl 69 now and have 5. Anyone want some ? ;)

My lucky looter is 3 out of 5 - also there's no working stiffs on my map unfortunately.

 

I wonder if it is about perception then, i've not done much with that skill tree really, mostly done strength, fortitude and intellect.

Quite possibly, there's only 2 items i actually want in the game now, the silencer, and the tool and die set, i'm checking every trader every 3 days for them, but nothing unfortunately.

 

And I have better barter on 5/5

I feel like I got better reward options from tier I quests completed (e.g. Herbal Antibiotics) vs. the tier II quests completed reward options (e.g. a gray iron pick axe; orange leather armor). No points in the related skill perk.

 

 

Anyone else having same experience?

The "A17.1 is coming soon" (yeah you said when its ready) post made me wait all weekend without playing :p

 

Well then don’t believe this as well: A17.1 seems to be compatible with 17.0 saves so refraining from playing while waiting is pointless.

Enjoying A17, ... I be starting again with patch though for sure. I love the starting out bit !

In vehicles xml you can easily increase vehicle speeds( and other suspension adjustments,etc) as well as Traders xml people can easily increase minimum and maximum store items so you can buy beakers,tool and die sets etc. All the xml files I have adjusted have also worked on my dedicated server as far as going to client so no files needed to download . I would not even play 7dtd at this point if The Fun Pimps didn't give us xml to play with. I am very thankful and I recommend people learn it so everyone can easily fix things they don't like(or is broken) while they wait for the game to go through alphas and inch closer to the finish line. Sorry petruherro ,I noticed you asked for vehicle rolling or coasting that would be cool.

Sweet! Can I also not believe they managed some more optimisation, or mod additions? We can already not believe Faatal hasn't done some devilment ruining the elevated horde night run.

 

My biggest thing I wouldn't want to believe though is rwg smoothing roads, and more evenly weighting the pois... I swear theres a radio tower poi and a used car lot on every block, but we've yet to see a working stiffs.

If only everyone thought the same way that you do the reviews for this game would probably be much higher. I am not by any means a proficient programmer considering that all of the courses I took were prewindows but it has given me the basic abilities needed to go in and read the files and change what I don't like so thanks to the fun pimps for making things easy for people like me.

We don't want the speed increased though.. we want gravity to affect the downhill speed more, and I don't think I saw any setting for that at all... I think that might be hard coded. Increasing the bike and motorcycle's bank and turn radius makes them feel more realistic to me. (And I love more "hop" to the bike.)

 

Uphill theres a huge slowdown, but downhill the is a very slight speed up from coasting, and it should gradually increase more to possibly even pass max speed if the slope is long and steep enough.

I hope the progression is fixed in a way that makes higher player levels needed to make higher quality items VS gating steel at level 70(as one example). I changed that right off the bat in xml. I could not imagine playing between updates trying to get to level 70 in order to craft steel items lol. I even boosted zombies XP to accelerate leveling so we could experience the whole progression system before the next update. I guess we will see. If its not what I feel it should be at least we can change it :) . I have liked most all the improvements though. A17 has been an awesome update .
