Jugginator
Oh ok. Yeah when I used the wiper thingie im 99% sure it wiped my saves completely.
JayzenFreeze
The old ones were entity models, which have more overhead, so they were replaced with block models. Not really sure what that means sorry. But so they will not be back? They where nice and could be upgraded a lot and lasted a while, the ones now break from 1 zombie. The Gronk
I mean the game launcher wiper thingie... You mean the 7dtd launcher, the mod launcher or a third party launcher? Either way, not obvious for a n00b.
Jugginator
The 7d launcher > Tools tab, clear game data. But no, it should give som warning that it wipes everything lol.
wiggleslap
You mean the 7dtd launcher, the mod launcher or a third party launcher? Either way, not obvious for a n00b. I was just loading the nav map option, not the random gen one.
The Gronk
I was just loading the nav map option, not the random gen one. With RWG and Nave sharing a lot of systems there is likely to be changes that affect both in ways that aren't obvious from just looking at the map. Changes in back-end engine stuff can break things even if the actual map looks the same.
wiggleslap
I was just loading the nav map option, not the random gen one. Just the game launcher. I get to this screen click Load - then I get the error message. I am not using any mods - nor do I have any 3 party launcher software. Paul * Correction when I click Continue game *

You can delete the save from the load game menu and generate a new map. This must be done with Nave maps as well because... reasons.

Jugginator
Lmao Gronk. Alternativly, if you right click 7 days to die from Steam > Show Launcher > Tools > Clear Game Data, that will wipe any and all saves / worlds (backup if you have something you want though). After that, seeing your new post, just don't do that. XD Nah, wipe the game data + do a file integrity check though steam. Right click 7 days, Properties > Local Files tab
wiggleslap
Every time I uninstall I've got to delete the savegame folder manually. There may be a setting to do it automatically, I'm too lazy to check, but it's not activated by default. As you can see from the original question WiggleSlap managed to install B208 without the savegame folder being wiped. Did I do something wrong? I am going back reading messages. So, more Dr. Advise? 3 Close the game, go to the folder with the savegames and delete it entirely, it will be automatically rebuilt when the game starts. Or follow Jugginator's advice. The Gronk
What folder should I have deleted? I am so lost now. Paul That really does depend on what operating system you're using but I'm just going to go ahead and guess some form of windows. Delete these entire folders and re-install the game. I relaunched the game and I noticed that the game was hung up on that screen. You have to alt - tab out of it. I will just uninstall and reinstall the game. Not a biggie..... @roland I need brownie points for being nice... I am still at grey as a user... How do I get back to green? Paul
Jugginator
You can always verify the integrity. Check the third pic. It's way quicker and could solve the problems. If not, yes uninstall and install
