Maybe using one First Aid Kit should ether remove the debuff or subtract 10 minutes from the timer each use?

 

That way dying has a cost, just not game breaking from some.

 

The current cost isn't bad at all. If you die right before dark, by the time its dawn it's almost gone.

 

You have to learn not to take risks, and use the stealth system. We have friends that just run around like in a17 trying to bop heads, even in quest locations, and we die 10 times more with them playing.

Hi!

I am enjoying A17 and its new features...HOWEVER...my biggest dissapointment is the landscape.

First of all...what in Gods name were the Devs thinking when they took away the beautiful forrest and Plains...but left in the Wasteland!? NO ONE likes Wasteland, it is the most terrible, boring and soul crushing environment ever created in a game. We go out of our way to avoid it, same thing with Burnt forrest!

Now, one is forced to be in the vicinity of Burnt forrest! Cause its every where!

 

Secondly, the overall landscape is boring, undramatic and bland! Where are the rolling landscapes with mountains, valleys, vast spaces, streams and rivers/lakes etc?

And why no subtropic regions in the southern parts of maps?

I hope someone creates a mod with pleasant scenery and landscapes!!!!

A17 with the random gen and performance of A16 would be a thing of beauty.

so who will answer how to solve the problem ??? Zombies stand still, the reinstallation of the game does not help, when you start the game, the console immediately opens with errors, the screen has already been thrown off the screen with them, it seems that the developers do not read the thread at all)

This is an experimental version. That means there WILL be issues. Some people can't even connect mp, some have constant crashing, the are a ton of issues.

 

Report it in the bug report thread... that's not a place the developers post fixes in... they are busy working on the next experimental version.

 

If you want a stable game, play the old a16.4 stable version. Odds are we'll see a new experimental version in the next few days, of not today.

Deleting the data for that chunk of the map _might_ prevent the zombies from spawning although it will reset the entire chunk to default so I hope you're not near your base.

 

Have you tried travelling a kilometre or so away from your base and restarting the game to try and despawn the zombies before they cause problems?

As Garee said. And read the first post there, it explains how to make a correct bug report.

 

The error message in the picture you posted was unreadable for example. Unlike CSI Miamiracle sharpening the picture doesn't give more detail. :cocksure:

What if I told you that the game would be more fun without stamina? Take the blue pill and you stay in A17, where stopping every 30 seconds to catch your breath is part of the world. Take the red pill, and you discover all that you've been missing.

 

You mean the red pill that can be found in the mod forum? :smile-new:

I whole heartedly agree Snowdog!

I really miss the landscapes of A16 but love the new gameplay and leveling system...give us back Forrest, Plains and Erase Wasteland and Burnt forrest from the collected memory of mankind!

 

I also dislike burnt forest and waste land but I still want them in A17. But I want them with harder climate and great loot that is unique for the biome. That would give us a great incentive too venture in there.

Maybe not erase but better integrate... Burned forests are just too much of a changeover from forest / dessert. Same with Wasteland, its just a piece of wasted map space that most of use avoid or run past fast. Both have no resources worth our time ( burned with coal, sure but most stuff you do not need coal for anyway ).

 

It makes more sense to have 3 biomes. Forest, Snow, Desert and have burned more integrated as same ground texture or a bit darker, with burned trees and no fog effect. And wasteland as again, more integrated. Remove the spooky / annoying music or tone it down, so people are actually willing to live in or near it without going insane.

 

And for the love of the gods, turn down that burning effect of the burned Zombies. It keeps making noise even when you kill them and its so annoying.

 

They can actually save on texture map space by integrating wasteland/burned better and add more/other diverse biomes this way. Tropical? Oceanic? Heavily forested and more dangerous with more predators and less zombies... Sky is the limit.

Okay so I'm level 70+ and have four perk points invested in 'Lucky Looter'

I'm also wearing the Lucky Goggles for an additional +50 Loot Bonus (whatever that entails)

 

I just raided a Bank POI and this was all I got. https://i.imgur.com/nubB8su.jpg (Items looted are highlighted in Yellow)

I wanted to ask if the current looting tables or bonuses from perks are bugged or significantly reduced because what I got was not worth my time; And if this is the output from having four perk points invested in Lucky Looter I would advise not picking it up at all and investing your points into something more useful.

 

I also wanted to know how the 'Eye' slot items worked? If at all? Wearing Nerd Glasses doesn't seem to improve my crafting quality, and I don't notice anything marginally different wearing shades for a +2 Perception bonus.

 

Just looking for some clarification on some things, because I've noticed that Wall-Safes and especially Air-drops are not worth my time anymore.

From what I understand..besides the removal of the biomes, RWG hasnt gotten anything done to it at all. Agree though the landscspe has taken a big hit and just isnt as nice as A16.

Now all i get is floating or sunken down buildings and crops. Along with roads parting the Red Sea.

 

RWG needs some love after they fix alot of these bugs.

Just a thought, can u offset the effects some with consumables? That would be a good trade off to me.

I'm thinking about starting a new game because the last update has broken a few things to me. Did TFP fix the missing skyscrapers in RWG with the patch?

When there are still no skyscrapers I will play on Navezgane, even when I don't like Navezgane with the burnt/detroyed biome in the center.

I also was greatly dissapointed in Lucky Looter perk and I suspect it doesn't work. As for +skill bonuses, you need to have the level requirement for them. So to have +2 intellect (and crafting quality bonus) you need to NOT have your intellect capped for your current level (am I clear?). And it makes all those +skill items and buffs from drugs useless if you are capped. Also the leadership perk doesn't help your comrades if they are capped (but I didn't try it, so not 100% sure).
