I don't know if anyone has mentioned this, but it would be nice if getting out of the gyrocopter required something more than just a single interact button press. Perhaps a UI button press, or a double-press of the interact button to get out. It would just suck accidentally jumping out of your gyrocopter to your death by mistake.

That's a feature! Just like any pilot, you have to pay attention when you're flying, or bad things happen!

The pilot is always the last person to leave an aircraft. In the event of an emergency I will be handing you a hat, you are then to assume the full duties and responsibilities of a pilot.

Yep. I'd imagine that's mostly because the only answer that will be given has already been given, and posted on the first page of this forum, so if you're trolling that info, you're basically ignoring the already-stated position of the devs. It's both disruptive and disrespectful, and is therefore disallowed.

As the gyro is a single-passenger vehicle (I believe), its pilot will adhere to this rule by default.

Spiele ARK fliege auf einem Vogel und drücke *e* .....

 

I have hopped of a bird in Ark at least a good half dozen times in mid air (fatal at least once or twice) with the "exit" key being so close to everything else I use. "Hold E for 2 seconds" would be a valid preventive measure to prevent accidental flying ejection.

 

Like I tell my wife all the time; getting off easy is great, but the key is having complete control of the process.

i prefer the one button method, but it would be nice if it only did work when the speed of the vehicle is 0.

 

That would be good, if it factored in only Z velocity, you might be moving horizontally across the ground and want to jump out, which wouldn't be that bad.

 

Perhaps a 'Hold to get out" function, where you need to press and hold the interact button for 1 or 2 seconds to exit the gyro?

Question for the DEVS or Roland.

 

Has there been any changes to stacking sizes?

 

I am thinking more along the lines of First Aid Bandages and First Aid Kits where the stack limit is 5. I know this is modifiable, but was wondering if they have been changed for vanilla?

Press "E" to exit is just enough, trust the pimps. If you wanna experience something close, press "Q" in fight with a zed.

Don't suppose it's a server\game option where you can just boost everything to 30,000 so you don't have to mess with mods or spend hours messing with the xml?

 

Please please please please. I love loot but hate managing boxes full of stacks.

 

But inventory management is half the fun of loot!

an ingame way of altering stack sizes via an option would be okay but it's not like it's very hard to modify the xml values. All you need is notepad or better yet nopepad++ and also which file to open.

I find it easy to use to set up stacks and also other minor changes such as damage or buffs. As far as A17 it may still work.

It's not hard, but it is time consuming due to the variety of stack sizes preventing a straight find\replace. Not to mention you have to do it with every single update.

 

Just saying a server side \ game option would be nice as it's a common thing people prefer.

 

 

 

As a rule I don't use custom programs like this, too easy to get viruses that way. I just do the changes I want myself.

 

 

But inventory management is half the fun of loot!

 

Not sure if this is a joke because I can't fathom it being fun to move around countless stacks of items, but either way the beauty of a server \ game option is that it's optional. :)

That true and ok. You can see by the date of the original post it was made quite a while ago. Not sure of anyone else but I have been using it forever and have never had a problem with it. Everyone has their own built in caution meter, you can't change it. :)
