People? Who are these people you speak of? Have you perhaps polled all of the members of the community and extracted a majority? Or is this referring to yourself, just using a generic, vague, undefined "people" to give your comment the appearance of being relevant? :D

I'm sure the only one waiting impatiently. but what are you upset about? if you like the information policy of the FP and you do not feel ripped off by stream events and smileys it is your thing but then you do not have to go into it.

People who complain about the impatient are no better than these!

Anyone saying that needs to be tossed from this forum. Period. I'd be HONORED if even the smallest idea or tweak i did or an asset i purchased was deemed good enough to fit into the main vision of the game. And I think most modders here would agree.

To go alongside Rolands post, The relationship between Pimps and the modders is a beautiful one. They allow us so many tools. When you see a mod like Walkers or Medieval Mod it's not us trying to say we do it better, it's only us using those tools to paint OUR picture on their canvas. Without their canvas, we are just a paint by number doodle.

You're one of the good ones Jax. Looking forward to your Ravenhearst update for 17.

But here again you are likely to see new quests from modders before you do from TFP themselves since all the tools for doing new quests are there for anyone’s use.

So the text content of a quest will be sent from the server to the client now? Or do clients still have to download the file and put it into the appropriate directory?

Then are the people who complain about the people who complain about the impatient any better? :p

P.S.: Nope, I do not feel ripped off in the slightest!

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm still enjoying alpha 16.4. There's quite a bit of it I don't often do and I'm still coming up with "firsts" ...case in point, last night I had a character hit wellness 200 for the first time. I usually restart well before that. Also took down a radiated puker in melee for the first time a few days ago. That usually goes horribly wrong.

Never have finished the "nail some chicks" quest, nor the rabbit one. As soon as I start packing around the required weapon the relevant critters stop making appearances. See? Still stuff to do... /sarcasm

What you are wanting from TFP is what modders are essentially doing now. Modders are essentially “jumping the gun” on TFP who hasn’t arrived at that stage of development yet. Kinyajuu just posted a huge list of under the hood effects that TFP plans to use to create awesome variability in buffs, skills, perks, mods for weapons (A17), tools, clothes, and vehicles. They spent all their time putting in the system and have done a few effects themselves. Modders will take that system and go wild with it immediately. TFP will move on to updating and finalizing the remaining systems they need in order to be able to go gold.

So to the uninformed it will seem as though Modders are doing way more for the game than the devs themselves and you often see such posts criticizing the devs out of this ignorance.

Eventually, once the systems are in place the devs will turn their attention to doing all the fun stuff that the modders do now which is what you see as “more content”

In the specific case of electricity, that is Prime. He hasn’t been able to return to electricity because he was tasked with quests and that has taken all of his time. I know he plans to return to electricity and the quests we get in A17 aren’t the final list either. He will add more to that feature later since A17 was just getting the first version of it into place. But here again you are likely to see new quests from modders before you do from TFP themselves since all the tools for doing new quests are there for anyone’s use.

You can’t have too many of posts like this! :D

There isnt one, if they knew when a candidate was going to be ready they’d have it at the front page.

+1 for Joshua Trees

-1 for Joshua Trees, sorry guys. I was a wildland firefighter in Arizona for 2 years (still live here) and didn't see a single Joshua Tree. Without looking it up I couldn't tell you where they are common (New Mexico maybe?), but not so much in, at least, the majority of Arizona desert. I wouldn't complain if they were added, but I'm not going to push the subject.
