gav_328t 2
I prefer to think of the schematic as a placeholder for some unique part that is needed for that gun. Something I wouldn't be able to make for myself with the tools I have available. Would it be more immersive if they used the parts instead of the schematic? Yes. Can I wrap my head around it and move on? Yes. Think of it like a kit with both instructions and parts. Sure, the instructions are still there when you're done, but you still need a new kit to get the parts for a new gun. The firing pin. It’s 100% unique to every gun (afaik), so trade the weapon books out for firing pins? It’s not like we’d be able to make one of those on a workbench, lol. Not so sure about rocket launchers, but they must have some kind of firing mech too, so make that part the book’s replacement instead?
Exxodous 26
The firing pin. It’s 100% unique to every gun (afaik), Afraid not, sorry. They can be swapped out easy peasy. I actually have 2 spares for my AR15 (in case one breaks during the zombie invasion of course) As to the use of a schematic in making a gun....I look at it like this. When I want to make a specific meal I print of the recipe from my computer. When I'm done I throw it away (it probably has sauce all over it anyway, I'm a messy cook) So when I want to make it again I must "get" the recipe again. I do the same thing at work as an electronics tech when building something. I locate the electrical schematic, print it and discard it once the project is done.

Noctoras 38
maybe placing certain high end weapons only in difficult military bases and placing the books for high end weapons only behind ferals in the book hq?. I disagree. I would hate 7D2D to take a route where you just follow scheme X and people are only optimising their timeframe to get there. Some random element is not only more realistic, but also more immersive. Noone is gonna loot a pink mushroom house, if there is only ever the same loot in there. Having everyone walk on a designated path to a designated area ... well, that's the idea of PubG and adequate for a king of the hill type shooter game. I love the fun I have in exploring and to have a scheme, where item X is only found near zed A or something like that is only going to spoil this experience in my opinion. This is my personal feeling only, but RANDOM world gen also sets this game apart from other survival games and it also has more of a surprise component than pther peer games. I love it for this very reason, it is not entirely predictable. Keep randomness alive

RavenSyndil 1
Assemble guns using a workbench I would guess. The rate of fire can make a difference once things start running. I can fire pretty fast with a bow, just have to learn to lead the target. I wish I could make a loop of this, I laugh so hard, but it is over so fast! I never bothered reading the comments.. I am laughing harder at those than I was at the video!

I wish I could make a loop of this, I laugh so hard, but it is over so fast! I never bothered reading the comments.. I am laughing harder at those than I was at the video! Here is how I practiced learning the drop, I am getting really good with the wooden bow. Find a shoreline that is shallow then go in about 15 blocks & stack your frames about 5 high, leave them as Frames or not. Now you can go back to the shore & practice from different distances & you can see your arrows land in the water & when you hit the Frame. Or go through depending on what you place but it is a good way to get your aim & drop down to a tee. I have been getting these awesome shots on the fly chasing bucks around after I learned how much to elevate the bow.
Sakurambo 24
I'm not sure why you would want a bunch of guns unless you need complete guns for turrets now. albeit i didn't mention them, guppy guessed right if you can mass produce guns you can make tons of dukes from the traders in short time

Kalex 47
The way bedrolls suppress sleeper volumes is not new. The fact that they do it offline is and that land claim blocks also suppress them. 1) so will land claim blocks still let us pick up and move crafting stations, generators, etc like in A16? 2) will people on your friends list be able to put blocks down in your LC'ed base and possibly move crafting stations? In the future, I suggest they replace the book with a corresponding lower receiver because each weapon has a different lower receiver that is not interchangeable... but what incentive would we have to search the Crack-A-Book if they take the books' use away? Realism vs immersion vs game play. Kind of like rock, paper, scissors - isn't it?
Soup 1
I can give 99% assurance to that 72% that they won't be upset next weekend. There's a 50/50 chance that these are pretty good casino odds.

Kalex 47
Maybe a roman style numbering would look better? Why would that look better? We don't live in ancient Rome. - - - Updated - - - I'd prefer descriptive words over any numbering, myself. shoddy poor standard good excellent or something to that effect. Agreed, but numbers are more succinct.

Crater Creator 410
Could be. Could just be some shadowing from the eve too. #PrayforAO Thanks for the pics Roland. I don't think it's a real shadow. Notice the 'real' shadow under the car is much more distinct, with a sharp edge. The only way I could see the dark spot under the roof being a 'real' shadow instead of ambient occlusion is if it's a lower resolution shadow map because the house is farther away. Guys i was watching this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wKbh1jdpXGY about the new game of the walking dead aaaanddd i was thinking.... My god, why don't we have a melee system with these animations of impacts in 7 days to die?! Before we worry about fancy synced takedown animations, how about the zombies get an actual climbing animation? When you get near a [sleeper] volume it spawns some amount of zombies at those spawner blocks based on volume and block settings. It picks ones you can't see, or if remaining are seen, it just spawns at the farthest ones. Wait, so if the building's been leveled and you have a clear view of the entire space, you'll see sleepers pop into existence? ...will people on your friends list be able to put blocks down in your LC'ed base and possibly move crafting stations? Boy, that would be awesome!

There are other things to learn in the bookshop, perhaps this could be a bit of balancing to make bookshops less critical? - - - Updated - - - Wait, so if the building's been leveled and you have a clear view of the entire space, you'll see sleepers pop into existence? That could be quite funny if the sleeper was on the top floor of a skyscraper.

Missy 3
Just so I'm clear. If I want to build a second pistol I have to have a second book? ... if books are not really being used as knowledge anymore, but just as ingredients, why not just make it a separate ingredient? One that makes sense? Like the spring? Ill be sitting with popcorn watching the streamer when they get the release. All the streamers will be trying to read the schems and thinking, why the hell cant I read this, do I have to lvl a skill or something. IT WILL HAPPEN!! It is such a weird change. I would rather it back like a15 where when you read more than one it would give you an extra skill point into that area. ie read more med kit schems used to give you more skill points into being able to create meds and so on, they had a use then, not sure why that was even changed. The issue is some schems will be readable, and some wont, for example, I am assuming you can still read a gas can schem? or a first aid schem? does it take a minibike schem to craft a minibike I wonder? The way i see it, they removed gun parts, but still wanted to build guns from something unique to that item, maybe leaving in one gun part would have made more sence, or make it a mod u had to find, eh just weird
Kalex 47
Don't think those have changed. Well, it was supposed to do #2 but it never worked. I was just wondering if it actually worked now.

Vedui 39
I can give 99% assurance to that 72% that they won't be upset next weekend. Nice! The best way to sidestep people being upset at something being done at a particular time, is to not do it then. Incidentally, that might be why governments release critical information on a Sunday morning on a small notice board in the basement, where the lights are out and doors locked. Of course, being dedicated fans, we have people stationed in all the basements, with night vision goggles, lockpicks, so we're gonna catch that A17 release no matter when or where or how it's released!
