I would say, add bandits with all kinds of gear, weapons and intelligence! That would be difficult.

 

Delete the cop zombies that break any hope of being believable.

 

Hope I don't sound too stupid. What is wrong with the cop? I really have no opinion one way or the other on him, guess I never ran into too many of them. Just, since I never gave thought to him, I couldn't imagine what would elicit a strong reaction like that lol. So may I ask you to do what you do so well? :) Tell me a story! :) Tell me about this mean cop and why he wrecks things. (Bad pretext to ask for a story I know but I don't want to be too transparent do I?)

Looting every zombie after a horde night could add up.

 

The problem is, we don't see 7 day or wandering hordes as delivery guys. =)

 

What of noticeable value to a zombie apocalypse survivor do you have in your pockets right now? =P

I have never used the trader. Found it boring and breaks my immersion of surviving on my own.

 

I don't suppose that might mean we will get an eventual option to turn them off will we? I modded them out, then had to modify a version of them back in because my wife likes them ( I modded them in as vending machines that could be destroyed. So she has to protect them. Which she liked, because even she disliked their bases and them being immune to damage). That way I could just turn them off for my solo games.

Oh that's AWESOME.Thanks for sharing! That's really cool of you. What sort of bases do you like to build? And...what sort of things would you like to see to make base building even MORE awesome?! :)

 

We tend to build 2 bases, our main base which we will either take over an small office building POI or a bunker or fortified cave if we can find one and then we have a stilt base with a center open killing block to shoot down at the zeds or we build a murder wall around a POI with an escape tunnel built to it.

 

What building piece would I like to see? A corner iron bar block with a 90 degree bend in the bars so you could match up the corners of a north-south wall iron bar block with an east-west oriented one and not have the odd gaps. One alpha we built a giant pyramid.

I'm pretty sure I could destroy you in any game, I used to smash whole teams of people against me alone in quake and counter strike and was offered to be sponsored years back to travel and compete but I was wanting to make games so I declined. I do stupid stuff deliberately to make the videos entertaining so think what you want to think. I already proved the game can't kill me in my dead is dead video series I posted an alpha or two ago, and look at my kill 20 dog challenge video. After we shipped Gore (a pvp shooter) the best guy who was hands down the top player in the whole community challenged me and I smoked him 20 to 3.

 

And your the one who is comical, the pvp player base is less than 1% of our customer base. Maybe its 40% of the vocal minority community, but its literally nothing, all our players are friends playing coop with friends or single player on private servers.

 

I don't think there will be an A18. We'll probably do a beta update and go gold after that. That doesn't mean there won't be some content updates though.

Those same spots may be seen. Windows, doors, holes in wall. It can change. You can bust a hole in a wall, see the zombie, leave, come back, it fails to respawn in that spot, because it can be seen.

 

What is weird is, sleeper volumes don't despawn until you are 30 meters away from the cube and then 30 seconds after that. Sounds like a bug, since 30m is a long distance.

 

Or not too long enough, IDK.

In the MM's video it was weird to see the same room repopulate in a different way in every few minutes.

 

I'm no programmer but I hope there is something that can be done about that. :)

I think faatal said it would not be implemented in 17 but it could be spawned via debug menu. :)

 

to tell you the truth I think it should be an item that you have to find out in the world just because of the mobility of the vehicle cuz that would be a nice goal to try and look for make it sew it spawns on top of buildings like the skyscrapers or behind gas stations

Or maybe find it in pieces? Even if its in as a blueprint you can craft, it would be an easy mod to make the main part of it something that you can only find somewhere in the world. Not sure how to make it just one but could make it super rare. I like that idea. :)

This does not apply for the situation. Participating in an early access is not like ordering a meal and demanding how you would like it cooked. Crater Creator's analogy was on point though!

I do think the idea to put it into pieces so you have to find the frame the engine and the blades in order to use it make it so it's not something you can craft so you have to find it of course it would probably be more than just one cuz it would be kind of ridiculous if there was only one in the entire world

You can backup and sidestep like normal. You can do it while running, but the faster movement of the run applies to just the forward direction.

 

I just beat down several businessman zombies with my fists. Not that hard. I maybe got hit once or twice.

 

Would you consider adding sidestep to faster movement? - as in I can run while looking to one side and hitting there. It's just the game prevents me from having different directions for my body and head while running.

The zombie cops are just too "magically fairy dust" for me. I can understand the green glow of the radiated zombies (electrons dropping down an energy state give off a green glow if copper is present) even though radiation does not glow in itself.

 

I can justify the whole "Zombie" thing (Modified Rabies virus). But forever puking Z-cops are a forehead slapper for me. I guess I can pretend they are bandits firing missiles at me. I'll live. :)

That's cool, I get that, makes total sense and AWESOME that you know that about radiation not glowing and the electrons in presence of copper. Aw but you left out a story, its almost bedtime. :)

Left 4 Dead had spitters also (and spider zeds), it's mainly a deterrent to use height as an advantage vs the normal zeds which can't do much vertically. Don't take it too scientifically, it's mainly for balance and variety.

Hmm, I don't think that is how it supposed to work and personally I have never seen that happen in game. I have had a number of friends (we play co-op) go into my base to get something out of one of my chests and they never had any zeds spawn in on them. Yes, it was a POI and I was the only one with a bedroll down in that POI and I was nowhere near the POI at the time. Now I have seen zeds spawn in when someone goes into a POI base of another player when that player (whose base and bedroll it was) was not online at the time.

 

Correct. The bedroll becomes "invisible" to the world when the owner goes offline. When online the bedroll guards the spawn area. So you can have as many visistors as you like, there will be no spawning zeds within your bedroll protected area as long as you are online. If owner goes offline and someone "passes by" close enough to trigger the sleepervolumes urge to spawn they will spawn.
