The file is fine.

My guess is that you are trying to use it on a server. Xml files pull from the server, so it must be modded on the server or you can't use it. Either contact the server administrator about mods you'd like to see or find a server that supports a UI you like.

Or maybe it's that you're installing to the wrong folder:

Steam/Steamapps/Common/7daystodie/Data/Config/XUI folder

NOT:

Steam/Steamapps/Common/7daystodie/Data/XUI folder

Will there need to be an updated version of the xml for b119, or should the same xml suffice that worked for b112 & b113?

Thanks!

PS - People that put so much time and effort to improve 7DTD for everyone else deserve a lot more gratitude than I could give!

Nice work. I took a few UI mods found on this forum and combined the elements for the UI layout I was after. I also added some tweaks not complete yet but here is what I have so far.

Credit to these for using their UI codes.

Pringlz46290's PZHud's UI code

stedman420's SmartUIPlus code

sovicUA's 7dtd-ui-mod code

see attachment.

Hello friend!

I'm also trying to figure out why the coordinates and skill points available result in errors. Been trying to compare with the new original windows.xml file for changes or anything breaking it and I can't figure it out.

You got any clues or ideas of why perfectly logical markup doesn't work? If you have pointers, I'll try to figure out and post back here if I find the problem.

Best I can figure is that code was changed somewhere outside of xml that has broken it. Coordinates on the main UI also had the effect of causing occasional error messages that brought up the console & made it hard to play the game. I'd considered removing them anyway, but it would be nice to have the option to add them.

XUi_Menu folder was also added with Alpha 16 which is what leads me to believe there was major changes in non Xml code that we can do little about without major modding. Let's hope someone decides to take that on. It won't be me.

I'm not likely to spend much more time on it unless I get a major insight or inspiration. I've been too busy working on my Nomad Wanderer Lifestyle Mod & Youtube series.

Good Luck!
