Taking the concept, the update, we now have a solid way to handle Demolishers in addition to all the features provided to kill regular zombies!

✔️ ✔️ Anti-Demolisher techniques with trip wires, electric fences and blade traps!

✔️ Kill area!

✔️ Electric Fences (5x)

✔️ Blade Traps 2+10x!!

✔️ Dart traps 8x!

✔️ Double poles (reinforced concrete!)

✔️ Safe melee position inside!

✔️ 2x shotgun turrets at the front!

✔️ 2x auto turrets at the back!

No Cop Solution (if in view of cops vomit)!

As an added bonus, I wanted to show that a base inside a mountain would work just fine, zombies still go through the front (and apparently jump off the mountain!).

We play 7 Days to Die for days, months, years, across versions and we encounter zombie spawns every single time. But .. how do they really work? How far away does the zombies spawn? We take a look at Alpha 18 Zombie spawn distances to get this sorted out!

✔️ POI Spawns

✔️ Wandering Horde Spawns

✔️ Heat/Screamer spawn

✔️ Screamer Horde Spawns (reinforcements!)

✔️ Blood Moon Horde Spawns!

I was very surprised at the Blood Moon Horde spawn distances, which was far closer to the player than I had been expecting!

Is it too near?

If you play 7 Days to Die, and sometimes just want total peace and quiet from zombies, then the 100 % Safe Ocean Base might be just what you're looking for in Alpha 18! With oceans spawning around the map, it's far enough to provide a totally safe environment to chill and build, craft and forge!

While you might not get any experience, you also can wait out the blood moon hordes in total comfort, enjoy the nice red sky, and let other survivors worry about the raving zombies hordes!

✔️ Features a Nice Ocean View

✔️ Gyrocopter landing strip!

✔️ Underwater living!

✔️ Easy access to a swimming pool!

No Zombies Spawns AT ALL (if far enough out)

How's that for soaking up the rays and ocean breeze?

(I don't know if you want people posting in here. So sorry in advance)

In regards to your Zombie spawn distance video.

I honestly never really did a test like that, in all these years. I mean, I had a general idea but nothing concrete.

So, just wanted to say thanks for the video! Was informative in areas for me. :)

Absolutely people can and should!

I had a rough idea much like you, but I knew there were changes and I wanted to really get some good tests done... and this really showed how close the blood moon horde was. Too close IMHO, I'd rather have it pushed to 75 blocks or something and giving the zeds a 200 % speed boost for 5-10 secs or whatever is necessary to close near to the player, but still having to path through the world :)

We take the lessons from last maze base in 7 Days to Die and device some means for actually looting all those nice big yellow bags of loot dropping!

While the basic outline is the same, we make use of two different types of blocks to get access from underneath!

✔️ Easy to build!

✔️ 4 maze corridors!

✔️ Dart traps, electric fences!

✔️ Easy access to repair!

✔️ Test with 64 concurrent zombies, high GS (500+)

✔️ TONNES of easy zombie kill experiences!

✔️ Easy access to all the loot!

Spawn Camping is common in FPS games. But ever heard of this in Zombie Survival games? Me either! But here we go, we're making a Best Horde Base Build where we spawn camp the zombies! We use some of what we've learnt of zombie spawning mechanics, to spawn camp the zombies as they spawn in!

Awesome!

✔ Spawnable Area

✔ Lotsa dart traps!

✔ Protected Enclosure!

What goes Where? This time we look at the AK-47 machinegun mods for two configurations, namely as a sniper and for close range setup! We pump in the mods, see which work and which do not, and what is recommended for the different quality tiers!

How do you mod up your AK-47?
