A16 - GNAMOD World {Improved of RWG world, Improved loot balance, Improved spawns}

Haidrgan, Your mod looked awesome combined with Slanhaten city mod. Will you make a version for the new alpha coming out? Any tweaks/additions for the next version? Really great work btw!

Yeah I intend to make a new Mod (suite) for A16. The first thing I plan to make is a vanilla A16 with my terrain generator to see how the new code reacts to the Gnamod World terrain. And then I need to study the new xmls first, play the game a while to see what has been changed and what has not.

 

Then I intend to make a Gnamod Basic, which will be the ground work for all Gnamod versions, I will likely also make a World Only version again that is just terrain and no other changes and I will create a full overhaul. For the Basic and Overhaul versions I probably will release challenge versions as well, such as Nomad, Necropolis and maybe a Horde Mode variation, all depending on how much time I have and how much the code of A16 allows or actually needs to be changed. If they done a good job on balancing then I wont need to do it for example.

You cannot actually import a height-map of your liking, right? Being able to actually create the world with a fully custom generator would be neat. In principle, the ability to add a custom generator wouldn't preclude fixed hand-created maps as you could simply include the full map in it.

Actually it is totally possible now. Way better then it would have been in the past. But would take alot of work on someone to make a custom random gen map. It is possible tho....

Really? What is the rough api for the generator? I was wondering if I could train some sort of neural network to make navezgane-like maps.

well you could make a system act like a generator using prefabs randomly and making the entire random gen prefabs you made, thats why i said it is possible, but the work you would need to do is alot...like way alot

Can you tell u's hoe far along you are? I liked the socket towns of a16 a lot, but the rest of the rwg breaks immersion so bad I stopped playing for now. I like the looks of your landscaping however and would love to Ger to explore al the other new stuff in A16 in a Nicely randomed landscape

I am still working on my mod, RWG so far only done some basic attempts to get what I had to A16, which gets a nice terrain but hardly any town wants to spawn in it, so I need to invest a lot of time getting some flatland in it that will get towns spawning without losing to much of the other landscape features.

 

I am mostly worki8ng on the rest of the framework, Gnamod Base A16, which probably soon a first version will be released that has the loot and zombie hordes sorted for all A16 mods I will make. When that is done I will probably start on Biomes and Landscaping.

Alright here is an update, I have released a first version of Gnamod for Alpha 16, it has it's own new thread since it will cover all of the Gnamod releases I will be doing for A16 (and perhaps beyond) and not a seperate thread for each version.

As for SARTAN's question, my mods can all be played without a client needing any downloads, but for complete immersion (localization files not being pushed by servers) its usually recommended to install the mod. My A16 mod has a client side download that is the localization file only. This file I will update and will be compatible with all of my mods and the vanilla game (you will be able to keep it installed when you play the base game unmodded). This will make it easier for people that play on a server with any Gnamod mod installed since its only 1 file they need to install. I will also try to get my A16 and client version on SphereII's mod launcher again soon.

Good morning, You have some possibility to play the style GNOD HODE without some options.

 

Example:

 

1st Can you play the Gnamod Base Mod or Gnamod Nomad Mode with the zombies from Gnamod Horde Mode?

 

2. Have zombies attacking your base every night?

 

3rd Taking the money and also buying items in the cache?

 

4th leaving the tower eat flag for the zombies always came to attack your base every night?

 

5؛ So you can play a game where you need to build your base from scratch, making farms to have your food and etc ...

 

6th a little lowering the difficulty because now the game can not find the money to build a defense of cement and purchases of quick ammunition.

 

OBS: I think in a game where all the night the zombie come attacking your flag tower but that you can play a style from scratch without perks but with race ...

 

Thanks in advance for the MOD so cool and good that I've played ...

This is a very old thread of the A15 version of Gnamod that at the start references the A16 version of the mod.

 

I have not dissapeared from the forums, nor do I not answer stuff, but I am no longer working on the A15 or A16 versions of the mod, they stay as they are, so I may not see messages posted there.

 

I am working on A17 version and currently have it available only on the Gnamod discord. If you would like to join that discord to help test and give feedback:

I am not as active on the forums anymore that is true, but I will make a new thread for the A17 version of Gnamod once it is ready to be released, then it will also become available on the launcher again. A17 development is taking longer than expected as nearly everything needs to be redone or I want to redo because now is a good time to do it better. Join the Discord to keep closer to development :)
