Dedicated Server - I have to be doing something stupid.

 

I've been trying to get this mod running on a hosted dedicated server I rent with a few of my friends, when trying to connect the server hangs at initializing.

 

Looking at the log I find the following:

 

MissingMethodException: Method not found: 'EasyAntiCheat.Client.Hydra.Runtime.Initialize'.

 

Then

 

MissingMethodException: Method not found: 'EasyAntiCheat.Server.Hydra.EasyAntiCheatServer<ClientInfo>.HandleClientUpdates'.

 

Repeats over and over in the output log.

 

EAC is disabled in the config.

 

 

Server reports launching at version 16.2.

 

I must be overlooking something simple. Any help is appreciated.

@ JoeHonest-

Crafting Knife Blades like the Small Knife Blade, Large Knife Blade and Sword Blades raises bladecrafting also repairing the non craftable knifes you find in loot.

 

@Malphas-

Thats not much to go off of. If its saying a EAC error I would have to say EAC is not off somehow. Also make sure you are using the server files download link not the player files. They are different. Another thing is if your renting a server make sure you can upload a edited .dll file. Most Providers will not let you do that. Lastly make sure you follow the install instructions under the Server Mod files Download link

 

 

 

 

 

@All-

And just for clarification there are NO zombies that run during the day in the Mod besides Feral Zombies of course. There are many that move quickly but none move as fast as a player running by holding "Shift".

Player Reset + bug

 

Hey Spider, can I get a reset? Got my ass handed to me while I was adapting to all the new changes (been absent a few releases)

Also a small bug: the hitbox for the zombieBiker3 model (the extremely tall one) seems off: I was getting headshot animated reactions when I adjusted to aim at his mid chest. Aiming for his actual head would always result in a miss, projectiles just go straight through it.

Hello,

 

Did something changed with running on concrete recently? I watched gamez4kicks stream 4 days ago (plays fitness instructor) and it seemed like in a15. I thought cool that true survival is out for a16 and wanted to get back to it. But after clean install, downgrade and mod launcher installation of true survival when i started game and choose fitnes instructor i didnt feel the speed boost which i saw on stream. Here is link to the stream with example of speed running about 48:00

 

Did i miss something? Any info would be great

Spider did you change the blood moon hordes or wandering hordes to make them more difficult and remove the trickle effect?

 

Just asking because I'm about to download it but I like how guppy has made the hordes really good throughout the night. So was thinking of adding his game stages unless you did something to the files to make the hordes harder/more challenging! :)

Yes blood moon hordes and wandering hordes are all custom made you could not merge his files with mine without re writing 3 or four complete files and it would unbalance the game play. I would suggest you try the mod before you go changing it. If your looking for a challenge you will not be disappointed

Sorry for the trouble. I can't access those links at work, however, I do want to help you.

 

With True Survival A16.2 selected in the 7D2D Mod Launcher, click on the View Menu, then Log Files.

 

You will see two drop down boxes that contains a link for the Launcher log ( 7d2dlauncher.txt) and the game's log file (output_log.txt).

 

Click on Upload Log file for each of those, and let me know the links.

not sure if there's a book on it, but if you choose Soldier profession, you've started with that recipe. i'm a soldier, and i can craft that blunderbuss from the start. btw, the blunderbuss is powerful in this mod.

if i'm not mistaken, there's a "craftedgunschematic" loot book in the world. reading that schematic will taught you 3 weapons, blunderbuss, crafted rifle and crafted revolver.

That Steam id is not in my server Player files so I could not delete it. Are you sure its correct?

He has a few things going to get that fast. First he choose Fitness Instructor, they get a speed boost as a trait. Then he messed up on looting his Profession Kit the first time so instead of restarting he just pulled another out of Cheat Menu. When you loot your Profession Kit you get your starting dose of Nutrition. He got 2 starting doses and a player should only start with one. This made him start the game with the Good Diet buff, that also makes you faster. Lastly the roads do give a 20% speed buff when walked on. Just as a side note you can also take Stimulants they make you faster the more you take them.

Unless you have this implemented via some backend .dll changes, I don't think this is working.

 

Looking in the buffs.xml file:

Okay, an obvious Asphalt boost.

 

Looking at your blocks.xml I see the following is commented out for asphalt blocks (asphaltStaBoostTrigger is actually commented out of both blocks it is assigned to in blocks.xml):

-->

 

 

So the buff exists, but it is commented out of the blocks and isn't applying unless you have done some .dll trickery to handle this.

 

 

Other things I have found -

Hitboxes on Wheat and Sunflowers are off. To harvest/hit them you actually have to aim slightly above the model instead of actually at the wheat/sunflower itself.

This seems to be a re-occuring issue for some people. I do not believe it's the mod that is causing the problem, but the mod could be heavier than the system normally runs, so the problem occurs.

 

All I can advise you is to update your video drivers, and maybe your motherboard drivers as well.

This is a vanilla issue. Ive ran into this a couple of times in each build on and off with no mods installed.
