As I and Sylen were the only ones active and posting in the two active threads about this topic lately and he used plural I felt perfectly included in that statement. Even if we assume that the message can't be really including all devs and mods as there were lots of devs and mods not posting at all it would at least imply all devs and mods that posted or were active, right? Well, how is your interpretation of that sentence above and why it would not refer to me as well. Why would someone reading this forum and reading bits and pieces know I am not included? Probably because you've said plenty of snarky and asinine things in similar threads.

If you're interested, I have a mod that does this:https://community.7daystodie.com/topic/32626-a21-khzmusiks-modlets/ It's XML/XPath only, so if you're playing multi-player it only needs to be installed on the server. I also have a mod that allows dew collectors to fill up more quickly in rain and fog, if that's something you want. That one requires C# though, so the server and clients both need it, and you have to play with EAC off.
araevin
The water change lacks creativity. The addition of plasitc/polymers from waste sources gives us plastics, we could easily find in game damaged plastic tarps, repair them, and have them be a build piece that can be deployed to capture or channel water into a container like so many plastic barrels we find. Use a knife, cut the top off the barrel, depoly plastic sheet, capture rain water. There could also be a mechanic to dig a pond, line it with sand, then cobble stone, and make a retaining pond ourselves. To just rip out water containers and have no replacement that requires more effort just seems lazy. Doing more missions to get coin to buy water or water parts is grindy and honestly boring for most players who are gatherer/crafters, not mission runners. Peace!! Well, it likely is just risk mitigation. The water change seems to work just fine. But it could also have been a huge desaster. One of their designers probably made that water condenser asset to be used in trader compounds and other POIs and they just used it to get that new change implemented as cheaply as humanly possible. Maybe, now that they know that it works so well, The Fun Pimps will add some biome-specific means of water generation for lategame explosive specialist needs too... Sure, the condensers work - but a farm of them looks a bit silly and consumes way more space than it should.
Leafless
Does rain fill up the dew collector? If not, there's an idea.

No, and they aren't going to do that according to the devs. Tracking weather across the game is more resource intensive than a timer and really offers nothing beyond immersion, so they said no to the suggestion. You wouldn't get any water unless it rains, which also isn't great even though it rains a lot.
