Severe lag in A21 experimental

I've been running 7 Days servers with a friend since Alpha 13, and we usually hit the experimental branch as soon as it's available. This is not something I've seen before so I wanted to bring it up. I asked on Discord but was basically told "It's early access, don't complain." Maybe someone in this venue actually cares to advise if this is a game bug with the networking (that we all know Steam has been tinkering with) that may be worth filling out a bug report for.

Anyway, I'm getting extreme lag spikes. My ping will vary from about 60 up to 500+ and I get lots of odd behavior such as zombies and other players that seem to fly and phase through walls, teleport from where they are to right in front of me, or hit me when they appear to be several blocks away. I have never seen this behavior before and I'm trying to figure out if it's a known or common issue or if I have a bad install. But, I have had this behavior confirmed by another player who also plays

For the record, the server is at a friends house about 10 miles from here. We both have gigabit fiber with low latency. He can play fine, but the game is practically unplayable for me and the other player. This does not happen with Ark servers hosted on the same physical machine, and we've never seen it before a21. Even crazy modded A20 servers like Undead Legacy and Darkness Falls ran smooth as silk. We're not getting any odd resource usage spikes or anything on the servers or network equipment either.

Edit: My FPS counter sits solid on 60 fps. I'm not getting any frame drops and my machine resource usage is pretty normal for playing a game.

Ping variances like that are typically caused by security software or motherboard bloatware. Ensure that you have followed the instructions in the Pinned Support FAQ thread to exclude the client and save folder locations from all security software. Also ensure you don't have any bloatware like motherboard network boost tools installed.

If you still have an issue after that, we will need better data. The Pinned thread that tells you to read it before starting a thread has instructions.

To be clear, I'm not complaining or accusing. I was kind of just looking to see if other people were having issues before I went down a rabbit hole, but I'll gladly provide some additional detail if that can help me chase down the cause. I was playing Undead Legacy 2 or 3 weeks ago and the game ran fine. I haven't played "vanilla" in a while, so I'm not sure there.  I can say we had a 3rd player join today and while he was seeing zombies glitch into walls and floors, his ping was more consistent.

I have no motherboard bloatware installed. I don't even have Geforce Experience installed, I installed my GPU drivers manually. I also don't have any security software installed currently outside of Windows Defender. I am not exactly sure what you mean by "boost tools" but I assume you mean things that claim to improve performance or overclock (like MSI Game Boost), and I have nothing of that sort.

I'm not sure how to post logs. I can't attach txt files and if I try to use pastebin links I get :

*** Forbidden. Message seems to be spam. ***

I can throw in a text wall, but not sure if that would be effective.
