Hicksior
I normally run 1 dedicated server for 7 Days from home as I have a gigabit connection, but would like to run two, now I run two with Icarus easy, on two different machines with different ports. I have changed the ports for 7 Days and port forwarded them as well as I do for other games I run, both servers show and I can connect with the default settings server no problems. I can see the second server but unable to retrieve data or join it, in the server browser it also doesn’t show what version it is. I have also tried to manually connect via IP, alas no luck. Is there anyone able to help out with my problem? Reason I want two running is one I play on when streaming so my viewers can blow up to hearts content and one serious server for my wife, kids, friends and I. Thank you in advance
SylenThunder
You didn't give a lot of information on your setup. Make sure you have enough port separation. Default ports are TCP 26900 and UDP 26900-26903. What we do is set each server 10 ports apart. This was telnet and the web console can all run together in the same range. Server 1 26900-26903 Web Console 26905 Telnet 26906 Server 2 26910-26913 Web Console 26915 Telnet 26916 Rinse and repeat. Our group currently has five a20 servers and two a21 servers running like this. We've also got about 20 other game servers running and using similar range separation. Makes it a lot easier to manage. Hicksior
Thanks for the reply, I’m wondering if the port separation isn’t enough now, you have a wider range so I’ll do that when I go home (currently at work) and try those settings you’ve given me, I normally get away with running close together, but that is more due to luck than skill. If you want details let me know and I’ll post them when I get home after trying your settings, again thank you for your response.
Hicksior
So I have port forwarded the ports, using the ones you suggested, TCP and UDP, but still can not connect, as you can see it doesn't show the version either on the second server. I can send a server config file if you would like to look at it, just strikes me as strange is all. SylenThunder
Server config file minus any passwords, and a log from the server. Use Pastebin. Also, did you forward all of the ports and open them in the firewall?
Hicksior
Yes I have forwarded all the ports as per my last post with TCP and UDP, even removed them and did it again just in case I missed something.
